I see so many people complaining about him, but why? Nothing he does is really overbearing -- and he's all skillshots too. Imagine if Lulu was roaming around in the jungle, or Karma, it's basically the same thing.

From what I see it's cause of his utility (he was made as a support jungler. so it's something intended) and "instant clears" even though in levels it sets him back in the first few minutes. and the invades cause he can clear jungles with smite. if you ask me is just a different process...and a bunch of junglers have good invades.

Early game he nearly kills himself with his passive, so if you invade with just about anyone he's toast. :P

And smite only has two charges, last I checked, so you can't instantly clear anything. Passive at max level takes over 10 seconds to go off, so.

Yeah. as somebody just said (basically.) he is a support with actual income. and I don't see why people complain on his invades. as smite has a 15 second cooldown if you use it with 2 charges,so chances are you either A:wait for the enemy jungler or B:get away with 1 camp like almost any invader in the game. and ivern can only take the full camp so he cant leave 1 tiny raptor so you have to make it respawn

His clears are essentially static, as it always takes the same amount of time to clear a camp. He builds the support items, which on someone with actual income, leads him to be pretty overbearing. He has a lot of CC in team fights, and while he doesn't deal damage, he keeps you from dealing damage.
