There is a clear imbalance in how mana works as a gating mechanism.
Moulin Rouge4 votesOrianna imo. Her playstyle encourages spamming her spells to both inflict damage and support her team. Now a days, unless she's super reliant on blue and/or gets both a morello+another mana/regen item, she has to choose. With that being said, the moment you force a mage to have to build two mana/regen items, their mid game goes straight out the window. Which is bullshit. They are supposed to own mid game dammit.
Furthermore, in lane her harass isn't as much as it was. She has to rely on using auto attacks to harass instead of her spells. Which is all fine and dandy if she's facing a melee opponent. But against mages, using auto attacks can be fatal.

thats because of a double hit to him, removing spirits stone and making mana regen terrible, skarner was my op pick last season and i had a pretty high KD with him, now its like why bother im oom all the time
it is quite amazing how a global reasource change made a very limited [viable] champ pool, even smaller
Only Play Darius2 votesSkarner is my main, but I hardly play him anymore because mana regen itemization sucks for anyone who isnt a pure AP mage.
Have run out of mana in the middle of a fight that was going well, so then Skarner becomes a sitting duck, this has happened more times than I can keep track of.
Wish they would just revert mana regen changes, game was so much more fun season 4 and no one bitched about resourceless champions because mana champions weren't heavily handicapped like they are now.

Dethkilr1 votesWhy did they decide to do this change anyway? I completely think Orianna was made useless because of this. I can only use my mana to shield myself and try to autoattack. If I even think of using my three basic spells I'm oom for 2 minutes which means anyone with energy or no mana can easily overpower me, either by making me lose cs under turret or just calling for a gank since they know the only thing I can do is shield myself and hope I can live.
tl;dr: I just don't understand why mana using champs got hit so hard yet everyone else is totally fine (which in comparison means they all are now better because of the global nerf)
