problem with ward clearing

So am i the only one who finds it kind of annoying/unfair that ward clearing is so "bad" unless you have item 3147 or are a champion that benefits from attack speed items? Like i'll get item 3364 but since i'm a caster type champion (usually Sona ) it takes like 4-5 seconds to take down a single ward by myself, thus making it near impossible to clear multiple wards with one use or to roam and take out hidden wards. But you get most of the ADC champions and they can pop a ward in like 1-2 seconds. Or you get anyone with a item 3147 and that ward goes down in a single hit.

I find these to be issues for 2 main reasons; first longer time to kill the ward means more time for the enemy to react and kill you, and while playing a very squishy champion with no mobility you don't really have a counter to this. Second since the support usually runs an item 3364 (since they have their support sightstone) this just leaves more time for them to be out of position, due to the slow speed of clearing and counter warding.

Its improved vastly from where it was several seasons ago. Not to mention wards used to require 5 hits (aka the Jhin ward nerf)

You USED to have to buy a potion item 2013 every 5 minutes for 300g. . .. run back, buy it over and over again. And wards weren't disabled while you were clearing them. AND they didn't last as long, . . . . .AND you had to buy them individually. item 3649 So every back, as a support, you were spending all your gold on 5 green wards and a pink potion. Game would end, and you'd have 2 items.

Warding for supports has improved VASTLY.

They tweaked ward clearing to help supports. If you're the one who revealed an unseen ward, your teammates can help destroy it and you'll still get full value. They most likely have higher AS, but it's usually enough just having multiple people hitting the wards.

Since you're usually playing Sona, use her Power Chord AA reset to help you hit them faster. It's not as efficient as Leona's AA reset, but it's still faster than just waiting for your normal AAs.

I feel you missed my point. I know i can get my allies to help, but what i want is the ability to do the job myself in a timely manner. I want to be able to clear 2-3 ward per use of item 3364 (provided there are 2-3 in a small area). I want to be able to kill a ward without giving the enemy champion time to walk from bottom red buff to tri bush to catch me with some long range hook ability. I just want to be able to do the "job" of clearing wards at a reasonable pace. For most mages you don't see them auto attacking so in theory upping their AS (maybe against wards specifically) wouldn't be that bad of an idea.
