If galio is supposed to be an anti AP tank, why is he so damn good against AD too?

Like there is really no downside in picking galio atm, best waveclear out of tanks, absurd base damage, cross map utility, % damage reduction w/ an aoe taunt on the same spell (lol), like really?

Gut his base armor and armor growth (p/lvl) so atleast he has a weakness against heavy ad comps, you know it wouldnt be a bad thing if galio wasant always the optimal pick.

Honestly with enough armor and his W Galio can tank AD comps fine. I'd argue that his DR should scale more with MR so he really shines against AP comps and it becomes less effective again AD comps.

Because gutting his base armor and armor growth would ruin any chance of him jungling and make him vulnerable to lane minions.

How can one be vulnerable to lane minions if he shreds them with 1 Q?

He doesn't kill lane minions at level 1 with 1 Q. And since they made Doran's ring have a unique passive he can't stack them to instantly clear waves anymore.

And even so, gutted armor would kill any jungle potential.

Not every champion needs to be viable in the jungle.

Hes already more than viable top/mid, i dont think him not being a good jungle anymore would be a terrible thing. a lot of champions only have 1 viable lane and even if he couldnt jungle he would have 2.

Tanks usually move to the jungle if top lane starts kicking them out. And to be honest, gutting his base and scaling armor would force him out of top anyway outside of rare match ups because most top laners do physical damage.

Honestly I think lowering his base DR and slightly upping the MR scaling would do the trick.

He's not meant to be a jungler though. And even then, lowering his base armor would not prevent him from jungling. Akali Diana Fizz Kayle

Diana hasn't exactly been in the best state anywhere for a while. I have never seen Akali jungle. Kayle has some sustain and Fizz can outright avoid damage (and he has that passive of his).

And Rex said gut not lower. Lower is like, -1 to 5 or something. Gut is asking for an extreme removal.

Ah true, difference between lower and gut. As far as Diana, I feel like maybe other than touching up her ult a little bit, she's still very viable and fun to play. She used to be my main back in the day. Not sure why I fell off playing her. Probably because it takes 10 minutes to ever play mid lane these days lol. And she was just as fun in the jungle.

He said "because gutting his base armor and growth" would do that. Not that it's like that now.

Yes, I feel like he should be more of the Rammus of Magic Resist. I think he should have more MR scaling on his abilities to force him to buy more MR than Armour.
