What are we doing to make other supports in-line with mage supports?

Literally nothing they can do if the hook misses. What's Thresh gonna do to a Zyra? Face tank 3 plants and try to flay them into our tower?

another useless pick when you compare him to the tower diving god. It makes sense Alistar is a "bit" weak in lane because his kit is so powerful, but braum? Extremely situational stun, and a sad ultimate that doesn't make up for the bad laning phase he has. (2 useless skills, 1 weak slow)

To be fair, Thresh has had one of the highest winrates/pickrates of the entire support role and has held that relevance for a long time. He's commonly in the top 15 overall and is the most picked Support in the game. I'd say that his high pickrate + decent winrate still makes him a viable pick against Zyra and other mage supports.

He (and Blitzcrank) should get punished for missing their primary engage.
