Inconsistent treatment between ORNN and YASUO is depressing
Both champions had around a 48% win rate. Both champions are complained about repeatedly as being unfun to play against.
Yasuo gets buffed because, even though everyone else hates playing against him (since you don't best Yasuo, he beats himself), yasuo players weren't being given their "promised 50% win rate" (literally said by a rioter on these boards).
Ornn gets nerfs on the pbe, presumably because people hate that a tank can be a Lane bully even if his win rate is sub 50%.
Further, you remove two of the strongest skill expression parts of his kit. W being unstoppable is huge skill expression to survive ganks by avoiding displacements at the right time. Ornn's ultimate is his only real skillshot. Getting rid of the former and increasing the cooldown of the latter (by 30 seconds, or a whopping 42% at max rank) is absolutely gutting him in the healthier parts of his kit. He's still going to be a Lane bully, you're not changing why people dislike him (nerf the shield on his W, or lower his base hp), and yet the nerfs will clearly make the 48% win rate drop even father.
So Yasuo is a hard to play champion, who is an AD mid (hurts most team comps) and gets played widely, and he gets to be buffed from 48%. Ornn is an easy to play champion, who is a tank (which helps his team comp in general), and he needs a nerf at 48%?
I just don't get it. Can Riot explain how they justify the discrepancy?
I don't mind nerfing Ornn because he's unfun to Lane against. Fine. Then nerf Yasuo too (and pantheon, Jayce, etc...).
I don't mind buffing Yasuo because he's got a sub-50% win rate. Fine. Then buff Ornn too (and the LOADS of other champions that had even lower win rates).
I'm specifically comparing these two because they're both popular picks AND bans on top of their similar win rates prior to changes. Don't nerf ornn after buffing Yasuo when he was in almost the exact same spot though...
