How players can get more people to play support (without playing it themselves)

People who have played support in the past hate it because you get 0 credit, and people who havent played support before dont want to because they want to carry.

How do we remedy this?

COMPLIMENT YOUR DAMN SUPPORTS.

As an ex-support main there is no better feeling in the world when your team compliments you for a great engage or "The greatest sacrifice"

If you compliment your supports, people will think that the role is getting more love, and people will stop thinking they are useless and stop thinking "I survived that 2v5 because i do lots of damage and am god and my support died because they are trash"

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF YOUR ASS GETS FED YOU SAY "THANKS FOR THE FOOD MOM"

How does that get more people to play it? That just makes the people already playing it feel better. I don't play supports because I dont like the champions and I hate having my fate decided by the competence of my carry roles. If I lose I want it to be because I did terrible not someone else.

I mean a lot of ex supports quit simply because they were sick of abuse and no impact, complimenting them would get them back.

Which in turn may bring other people interested into the role.

And BTW a good enough support actually CAN carry.

Honestly I don't care about getting credit. My S- and higher speaks for itself.
