The thing I don't like atm, is that mages only have one item option for armor ap. While ad champs have many choices. Give us another mag pen item or ap/armor item and I'll shut up. Sometimes u wanna make that gamble building Mejai to keep your snowball but that's usually a "kill me now" signal u send once enemy team knows you have 15 plus stacks

Also, just as a sidenote, the Locket change was a pretty huge indirect buff to all mages/magic damage dealers across the board. People never mention that one.

People haven't been able to reach 1k+ AP since Riot remade AA Staff into an item with a unique passive. That was a long time ago.

I can play talon and an Orianna combo mid game does while i'm still cc'd yet my full combo does about 3/4 of her hp and i have to get in melee range

Maybe in an elo where mages let you get close to them assassins could be good but when your opponent can actually kite it's near impossible to consistently kill them as well as the fact you can't contribute to fights since you are a squishy melee

Fizz with five damage items can one-shot a six-slotted ADC with one of those items being a guardian angel. And he can do it with the weakest version of his ult and W.
If he gets a max ult and full power W it's not even close.
With that said, yeah some mages are able to one-shot people from range far easier than melee assassins can. I mostly just wanted to illustrate the stupidity of mage mains.

Mages u have syndra of course, cass somewhat, veigar, etc. I wouldn't really lump ahri into this category though tbh. U really gotta hit everything in order to 100-0 and even then I don't really consider it burst since the time it takes can be long compared to zed all in for example. She does do dmg but when she hits 6 u rarely are going to full HP combo your opposing lamer without whittling their HP down with a few q pokes previously. Sry for the novel but ya there's burst on either end of the spectrum imo. I mean even rengar when reworked would be able to oneshot off his ult into q if he had a lead. I forgot to include ryze but I ban him every chance I can so he somehow slipped my mind xd

Karthus is utility just by existing. You have to play around him whether you focus him or not because of his passive, so he's constantly zone controlling just by existing. Not to mention a well placed wall of pain is super strong. And no matter what late game, you're pressing R on Karthus to do 2.5k-3k damage to the entire enemy team at some point.

MinaZer01 votessorry 3.11 % is a drop in the bucket, and saying its better by that much isnt saying anything, it performs better because it considers bronze through plat as well which take up the most percentage of the player base, bronze players would rather buy an item for instant gratification, Ludens does give good stats and intial burst can be taken advantage of on bronze players. but waiting for 800 more gold is a much better choice and better build The raw AP of Deathcap is better, I'm an Ori main, I know what I'm talking about.
