"You only lived because I ran out of energy"

Visigoth··108 votes·6,448 views

This guy. This f**kin' guy. I've seen people playing Zed whine about energy to an Orianna. Like bruh. I've seen LeeSin whine about energy to Hecarim. I have seen an Akali say they only died because they ran out of energy. Like yeah, your fuck balls of sustain isn't enough we need to buff Akali guys! I've seen Katarina and Yasuo complain they only lost a 1v1 because their ult was on cooldown. Like, they had 2 fights in 30 seconds oh no!

If you play an energy or resourceless champ don't whine about cd's or energy running low. (Unless you're an hp champ, those guys are fine they gotta kill themselves for damage).

Don't say 'I hate playing against Syndra she spams abilities so much.' Especially if you are playing Riven or Zed.

He's more in a category with DrMundo and Volibear, and maybe even Vladimir , where they just suddenly get a bunch of health back.

Rew7113 votes

I also think that we should take Zac out if the revive category. He only revives like 1 out of every 10 games. He's the hardest to revive.

GaleWinUnleashed2 votes

Use it as bait in early ganks, make the enemy get greedy and put themselves in a bad position for your teammates to capitalize on.

Rew7111 votes

That is the hardest thing I've ever heard. It's brilliant but also so hard to accomplish. If I jungle, it's easier to just die alone in the jungle. In lane is the same.

GaleWinUnleashed1 votes

It's surprising how often it seems to work for me. So many times their mid has tried to finish me off under our turret, despite taking a lot of damage from both the turret and their opposing laner. Tunnel vision strikes again!

Fed by Snu Snu1 votes

Sion doesn't really revive either though, it's more of a tryndamere ultimate thing of "as long as you punch things, you stay alive".

Unfortunately item 3070 does nothing to help with that.

Those are the guys that just complain, no matter the champ, just ignore them.

If he'd play a mana champ he'd complain because he ran out of mp, or for the ult or whatever they need to justify their incompetence, like lag and ping and shit.

Vellich0r8 votes

except for the people on shitty east coast servers who sit at 130 ping on a good day and can expect packet loss and occassional spikes to 3000+ ping, but yeah, if we're talking about the same guy who 'ran out of energy' they might be faking the ping thing

Pirahna5 votes

those cali kids don't even know how hard it is. standard ping at 150? They already have an advantage. -_-

I'm not calling anyone a Liar Here, but I live on the east coast and my Usual ping is 65-90ish

........... I need a new router. :3

Mistress Madoka1 votes

It might be your ISP more than your At-home Hardware. ISPs like Comcast are known to be Super abusive with the speeds (Charge you for a Nice 10-20MB Connection, Only get 2-5MB.)

Honestly I can't wait untill Google takes over the Earth and gives us All Free Fiberglass network Internet.

It all depends on Circumstances, I suppose. Still, a New Router Probably wouldn't hurt.

zliplus2 votes

Ditto, though closer to 90 than 65 I'd say.

omg im bad at csing with leblanc welp ill just use my qwe on every single wave i see!

Vellich0r5 votes

because energy champions are? lets look at the most banned and/or hated champs right now. Zed - energy based, Akali - energy based, lee sin - energy based, hell even kennen is becoming more popular because of his great AP poke and easy sustain. the only champions that are energy or resource based that suck ass are top laners (seriously, why are all the top lane resourceless champions noteably weaker? oh yeah, they were so strong first half of last season that nothing else could compete so they nerfed them all except like renekton, and then AP tops jumped in to poke their way to victory.)

Junkο2 votes

Now let's look at their win rates.

Swain (really mana hungry) -55% Zed and Lee - 45%

Direwolfiez32 votes

Look at their pick rates. Now look back at their win rates. See anything interesting? Oh, I dunno, maybe like how Swain has a 4.02% pick rate (which means that only people that know how to play him play him) to a 53.91% win rate? Zed has a 15.82% pick rate to a 48.35% win rate, and Lee has a 27.8% pick rate to a 45.73% win rate.

Are you kidding me? Noobs and FotM players flock to the most "OP" champ and usually lose a lot with them because they have no idea how to play them. THAT'S why the win rates for some of the strongest champs in the game are so low. Ever think about that? I doubt it.

demonsnake4203 votes

That would be a good argument if those weren't their consistent win rates. Zed normally hovers at a win rate around 47-48%, Lee Sin is normally around 45-46% win rate. Are those champions strong? Yes, and have a ton of potential in their kit. However, to consistently succeed on the likes of Zed and Lee Sin requires significant mechanical skill. Thats one of the reasons why they don't receive a lot of nerfs; yeah they are potentially game changers and carry super hard if in the right hands, but thats the key. In the right hands. Its fair balance for a champion to have a strong kit but to actually utilize it properly require a significant skill level. Most of the people who complain about Lee Sin or Zed or the like on the fourms are either: A) bad/got recently stomped by one, or B) dislike them for their popularity. The balance of a champion should not depend on their popularity. I mean, its just logical reasoning that if X champion is OP/Broken then X champion should consistently be winning more than average. Also, if a champion is really popular, then you should know how to play with and against them. Akali would be a fair complaint champion in regarding needing nerfs cause she is strong but has a low skill floor and a consistently above average win rate (but, as loathe I am to say it due to my burning hatred for Akali, shouldn't probably get massively nerfed cause her's isn't super higher than average). And back to the Original Post, that is just a dumb excuse anyone like that would give no matter what champion they are playing; from 'Lucky I ran out of energy' if on Zed, 'Lucky I ran out of mana' if on Oriana, etc. They are just excuses.

do you even know how percentages work?

OF COURSE its going to be more skewed toward the loss side because there is a bigger pool to make up the statistic as compared to swain

4 percent PICK RATE means that with just 2 percent of players playing swain winning you are already at a 50 percent win rate

20 percent pick rate means that you would need TEN percent of players playing sin to win games so you would get a 50 percent win rate..

TLDR: bigger number of people making up the statistic makes it more accurate, swains over fifty percent win rate is skwed on account of his low pick rate..

comprende?

I think your understanding is correct, but the way you've said it is SO wrong math-wise that it hurts.

Junkο1 votes

But if they are unbalanced, why do they lose games when you don't know how to play them?

InsaneSamurai10 votes

Just because a champion is OP doesn't mean you don't have to learn how to use them. That'd be like someone picking Dr.Doom, Magneto, and Vergil(top tier monsters) in Marvel vs Capcom and just rubbing their face on the controller expecting to win :P

Very well put. I truly doubt Riot considers this aspect with the way they nerf champs and items. They tell us Yorick is no fun to lane against so they are going to rework his kit even though his pick rate is a blistering 1.46%. Meanwhile ask AP champs at mid how much "fun" it is to p-lay against a Zed at mid. You never read of them bringing this into the equation.

GaleWinUnleashed1 votes

His pick rate is low because for most, he's also no fun to play. He's also much less likely to do well than Zed, because his laning is not very safe, nor does he snowball quite as hard.

shadecrapper1 votes

Perhaps they are really trying to get attention to underplayed champions? An interesting way to do it though.

GaleWinUnleashed1 votes

Finally, someone else that understands! I've recently been writing walls of text analyzing winrates, banrates, and pickrates. All of the "OP" champions with a steep learning curve have poor winrates for exactly the reason you stated.

YOU BEEN WARNED2 votes

wut, syndra's mana is enough to 100-0 2 people. once she has item 3028 then she's manaless too.

don't QQ about resourcelessness when you outdamage people with your "mana" champion; to each their perks and weaknesses however some are extremely difficult to deal with.

For example, why would a Syndra fight someone when she's oom ? You can't capitalize on that if the player is smart, it's really easy to keep an eye on your mana from going low. Not as easy for energy. You can always capitalize by keeping the energy champion fighting & denying their energy restoring mechanic. ( for example denying LeeSin auto attacks. )
