SO! A question!

In gold, is it any different than silver? Do people do things differently that I should look out for? Are people still bad enough that I can capitalize on their mistakes? Are people still blind as far as map awareness goes?

Nope, it'll be another 4,000 games to hit plat. xD

I just don't wanna drop out of gold. D: I wanna get a Victorious skin for once.

stressing too much is gonna lead to making mistakes... just do the things you do well and improve on things you dont.

I mean "bad" is relative (is that the word?)... To a plat, golds are probably bad...

Mechanically players are like silver but every now and then you'll run into someone who will seem like they belong in diamond or higher. What's Noticeable is the level of decision making and team coordination(Compared to silver). People move much faster and take objectives, Counter jungle, punish roaming, Freeze lanes, TP plays are common, etc. The players are also usually less toxic compared to other divisions until that Gold 1 area. Getting counter picked is also a common occurrence here, but still its a toss up if your opponent actually can use the pick against you effectively. Almost everyone can, if not punished, farm very well. Map awareness is dependent on the players, but I'd say half are very aware of the minimap.

All that said there's still alot of mistakes happening, I'd say focus and make sure you can do all of the above before thinking on how to beat your enemies.

Basically: Early game is almost the same, Mid game is very different.
