To me the alcoves feel like a random addition and we just don't need them

If you're adding them to make it even easier for junglers to gank, them shame on you. This meta is already full of just camping and snowballing and you want to increase that even more. Earlier this morning I watched a clip of I believe Adrian Riven, where he was trying to escape the enemy Yasuo by running into the alcove and running back and forth. This wasn't impressive. It looked like a game of tag but in League of Legends. It looked ridiculous, and I feel like we really just don't need these in the game.

I share the sentiment.

Alcoves just exist to allowjunglers camp you even harder. If you thought Zac ganks were OP before imagine now.

Imo it makes escaping ganks easier... You can hide in alcove and run in circles benny hill style. Previously there was only one way out and it was mostly blocked by jungler.
