You think these Wukong buffs will make-up for the D.B nerfs?

Games are shorter, and you know that "Q" will be maxed 3rd, and since the game is all about snowballing, guess who's gonna snowball less after you apply those changes? im not saying the changes are bad, they are NECESSARY to keep the champ alive since you forced him to be item 3147 dependent. otherwise, MonkeyKing would never be touched at all, but still, he's gonna perform even worse when the changes go live.

It's a good lategame buff, but it's just to balance the equation of the lost damage from D.B which was needed to deal with all the healing and shields your precious ADCs receive.

You know what's frustrating? although I play LeeSin from time to time, it's just unfair he's getting damage buffs because he lost the ability to wardhop.

Funny how you're giving him the Yasuo treatment, post the Runes update your "statistics" showed they're performing "poorly" than they used to be. No they're not, it's just the fact that the some of the NEW RUNES worked so well on certain champs that they became more pick worthy since they're easier to play, and if you check op.gg you'll know what I'm talking about. Tanks dealing tons of damage 100-0 you while you not being able to move cough Sejuani Zac and bring a lot to the table with their unlimited CC.

so the real reason LeeSin is getting buffed is not because he's performing poorly, no, it's because you're trying to put him in the same tier as those god-tier junglers that are easier to play. Why? proplay and pick ratio.

Meanwhile MonkeyKing is rarely picked top, and if you check http://na.op.gg/champion/statistics you'll see he's in the Karma Karthus Quinn Mordekaiser same tier as those champions, but with a worse win ratio expect if compared to Quinn which is getting semi-reworked next patch "congratz btw".

You won't be able to fix Wu unless you change that useless passive in his kit. but in order to achieve that, the champ gotta "sell". too bad.

"max Q third" HAHAHAHA wait, you're serious?

He just worded it oddly, including his ultimate as first max. I thought the same thing when I first read it though.

except in this case it makes himself looking like he argues the buff will be pointless

wukong maxing Q second makes the buff very relevant unlike what op wants to make us believe

Yeah possible he worded it that way to try an exsasperate his point.

Either way, the buff is quite relevant. It’ll leave Wukong’s mid-late game in a similar state to current DB, only slightly less potent. However my issue is the weakness of his top lane, the Q armor reduction nerf from 4.2 seems unnecessary at this point.

It's not just worded oddly, it's straight up wrong.

You CAN'T max R until level 16. You max 2 normal abilities before that. So the earliest you can max R is third.

He might prioritize leveling it third, after R and E, but he can't max it third unless he takes rank 5 at 17 and the other rank 5 at 18.

R>E>Q>W.

literally every champ in the game that has an ult maxes it "first" when it becomes available

including it in terms of skill maxing is redundant an pointless, we know that you are maxing the ult "first"

Ya let's "fix" a freelo champ who can press R and pentakill a team, with no counterplay since he's invisible before it goes off. 51% win rate is somehow bad lol. k

You've obviously never played Wukong lol.

They never said anything about Wukong's win-rate. So the only think you could possibly be doing in bringing that point up is propping up a scarecrow of an argument from them so that you can beat it up and make it look like you're superior to them. That's pretty lame, dude.

Also since you brought up win-rate, let's see that point taken to it's inevitable conclusion, shall we?

Win rate is not a standalone statistic, if you want to determine a champion's balance by using statistics then you have to rely on other statistics as well, including overall pick-rate compared to the rest of the roster.

  1. Low pick rate with high win-rate is not OP, because that usually means that a champion is only played by mains who know the champion way better than their opponents.

  2. While a high pick-rate with a high win-rate would absolutely indicate that the champion could be OP because even casual players are stomping with the character.

  3. Next quadrant is low pick-rate with low win-rate, this would be under-powered, because even mains can't make the champion work compared to the rest of the roster.

  4. Lastly we have high pick-rate with low win-rate, depending on the timeline this could either mean that the champ is just hard, or it could mean the champion is terribly under-powered.

  • If the champion was just released or reworked, or they are on free-week rotation, then the high pick rate makes sense and it's probably just that the champion is harder to play but is still popular enough for lots of people to play that champion despite not knowing what they are doing with the character.
  • If the champion has been out for a long time and none of the other extenuating circumstances are present then the character is probably super under-powered, but still very popular.

#4 is a bit of a mythical case, because we rarely see underpowered characters remain popular for long, so it's usually just an indicator of the first example, that the character is popular and your average Joe doesn't know how to play them correctly.

By Q max'd third, are you including your R? Edit: Yes you are, ok. Never mind.

Also, Wukong's passive isn't useless, it's just undervalued. It provides a good bit of stats that let him build more offensively than he would normally be able to.

HelpOrIFeed2 votes

Damn. A lot of Wukong mains circle jerking each other off. Not only is Wukong fine, he's actually way on the strong side.

I doubt they will redo his passive right now, but giving his Q 30% back at level 1 would go a long ways.

Wu can sell just fine should he get a decent update.

It worked really well for Xin and Rek'sai, two champs he shares the class with. New passive is a must, maybe a skillshot Q and a more advanced W mechanic. Ult should probably get updated as well.

Other than that, he has a popular theme used in most mobas. Maybe a skin like Dreadnova and he's set.

I really wish the would do the easiest QOL change for him and change his ulti tickrate to .5 seconds.
