The whole reason Bard can't E through mad-made terrain is because of the possible bugs that could happen if part of the journey (say, an anivia W) despawns as you're going through the portal. Do you go to the end anyway? Does the portal stop short? Do you fly off out of existence? Riot rather wouldn't find out.
