Why is Ohmwrecker pure garbage? (serious question)

item 3056 is garbage.

But the question is, why? look at the stats for a bit... it has everything tanks have always asked for; Armor, Health, high HP regen and CDR. Theoretically it is exactly what you would want... disregarding the active for a bit

Ohmwrecker is 100.26% gold efficient without the active and passive.

So even without the MS passive or the turret-disabling , it is still efficient.

It costs 2650 gold which is less than the cost of item 3143 (2900 gold). item 3742 is also 2900 gold.

So what is keeping Ohmwrecker from being more popular? maybe decrease the cost to 2500 or increase the stats a little bit? We all know the turret-disabling passive is utter garbage and it will never be good because turrets are pretty much a joke at this point.

Thoughts?

The fact that almost every tank item out shines it. The fact we are in a meta where just about anyone can tank turret damage with little punishment.

The item isn't actually as terrible as people pretend it is. It does have a very high health regen, and as much armor or close to as item 3068. Also it has CDR which is nice for the tank who need CDR that is not on a mana item like item 3025 item 3110 (I mean...I guess you could build those 2 items on a manaless champion but just feels weird to me imo).

I might actually start building Ohmwrecker when playing a tank and playing with friends just to test it out a bit. As for why or how it can become popular...The active still does have its uses and its not like the item needed it to become gold efficient. I honestly think that if the item gave 100 more hp then I'd consider it a pretty good item and I'm sure we would see it actually used some. That...or if Riot actually buffs turrets to become a threat again...Because some times when playing a tank in the early-mid game I could mistake the turret's damage as getting hit by a few minions.

you will get more under turret sustain if you buy an actual item that gives you more health and armor. its garbage. its too expensive. its not a good item under reasonable circumstances. its not good in any situation because there is always a better option. but i buy it on nasus sometimes if am basically winning too hard

My issue with it is that it just isn't practical for what it's trying to do.

Disabling the turrets is a great benefit early game when you don't have items to reinforce your bulkiness - but rushing this as your first item is a very poor idea that provides very little power to your champion compared to other items. By the time you finish it as a 2nd item, you're likely able to tank turrets reasonably well anyway, if not you someone else on your team.

Even on a jungler like Nautilus, who I would assume would get some of the most use out of this item, I can't realistically build it. I need to complete the jungler item for the improved smite/clearing, get boots for more general mobility, and by then I have a choice between adding Cinderhulk to the Machete Upgrade, going for Ohmwrecker, or going for something like Randuin's Omen or Frozen Heart that not only make me tankier to turrets than Ohmwrecker but are more useful in all other aspects of the game.

It's a niche item that, which due to the basic mechanics of League, cannot reasonably fulfill its role.
