[Game Mode Idea] LOL IMBA

League of legends imbalanced after looking at doombots it got me thinking "hey thats pretty darn imba" and as a person who also plays DOTA 2, i had flashbacks of epic boss fight impossible difficulty and the DOTA mod DOTA 2 IMBA

the basic idea is that

  1. items will either have its stats buffed or have new additional effects
  2. champions will either have boosted stats and numbers or have new additional effects

thoughts?

Its a decent idea but it lends itself to heavily to RNG. Other than elemental dragons and crit chance Riot has severly tried to limit the instances of RNG in league.

I also feel that it wouldn't be as popular as you might think because many members of the community would not enjoy playing at a disadvantage.

I always like to see ideas for new game modes and still pray to Riot at night to bring the 5v5v5 to league as a rotating game. It could work but your idea would require a lot of work to make a successful game mode.

Theres a mode similar to that in DOTA 2... can't remember what the name is, but i've played it and it would probably work in league of legends

I'm still just looking for a 'Unique passives are no longer unique' mode, meaning you could stack 6 deathcaps, or 6 thornmails, or 6 IE's, for a few examples. Separate cooldowns for things like 6 Gunblade or 6 Zhonyas, and so on.

Edit: Forgot to write my thoughts on yours, lol. If everyone is buffed the same all around, then it wouldn't change much about how the game is played. At most it would lessen the impact of a characters base ability damage and bonuses, as they are not scaling from the buffs. Anyone who relies on that more than scaling through items or raw stats would suffer, and those that do rely on scaling would have an edge (i would imagine Jax would do well..). Not to mention the impact on jungling being far faster, and objectives falling at an accelerated rate.
