Honestly, I think Azir was one of the most well made champs by riot.

I've never seen a mage like Azir before. Riot created a master piece with him. Buggy at first.. yes, but a beautiful master piece none the less. Both thematically and gameplay wise, there has never been another champ like Azir. Even his lore was amazing and how is passive builds an entire tower. The way he forms his soldiers from his memories as the emperor. Shows how much of a great ruler he was. Able to remember each soldier that served him and the ability to make a sand copy with his Q. The way he never does the dirty work but lifts his finger and his army does it for him.

Azir was a masterpiece

It sad that he is in such a pitiful state now.

Come on riot. Make Azir great again....

Honestly, I think Azir was one of the most ~~well made~~ horrifically overloaded champs by riot.

Honestly, I thought Azir was one of the most well-designed mages... Until he got meta...

Obnoxios poke, range, mobility, peel, burst, dps, a freaking turret, waveclear, vision denying (soldier ranges) aaaaand his shurima shuffle...

I still play him. He's satisfying as hell to play as. Commanding soldiers that do a ton of damage from 1000+ range away with little to 0 counterplay is fun as hell, but a pain to play against...

Thematically he falters a bit. What the hell is the emperor doing dashing around everywhere and knocking people with sand soldiers. Makes no sense if you ask me. The emperor should not be moving around, with only a movement of the hand things act around the emperor.

However I do love his voice lines when using shifting sands.

I hope his update will bring him in line and make him viable once again. I love Azir so much but he is always failing to hold up when everyone just basically dumps on him all lane to mid game.
