Why is shen underplayed?

after the rework he is a beast, beats almost any laner, good sustain, good mid/late game dmg, multiple champ peel with his taunt and his ult. Why?

Literally nothing new Shen can, old one couldn't do better.

Well... except absorb damage.

Dear god is that passive amazing.

And blocking 3 plus adcs worth of damage with W is EASILY 2k plus damage mitigated

His dueling is far superior now than it was then, as well.

In my opinion, he is much worse after the rework.

Actually, his play and winrate have returned to pretty much what they were before his rework.

People are mad that his lane phase isn't just pressing the Q button.

no i did a lot more than just q infact my lane phase top was max E then W and just run at people and proc passive with trinity GG lol

Well his trades are a lot stronger now, especially if you land E so your strategy should still work pretty well.

still not near the shen he used to be has to rely on some stupid floating blade makes me feel like im playing a tanky ori just more clunky and less fun

I've read it, it's a pretty badly written post that doesn't make any clear points. Shen has zero incentive to stay close to his sword and moving it is nearly effortless, especially after he's invested a point in shadow dash, so describing Shen's sword as an anchor has never made any sense at all. The rest of the post is just complaining about how Shen now actually has some depth to the use of his abilities that can easily be overcome by playing him for a few games.

apparently you are one of these boards people that just cant see any point of view but your own im done with this the new shen has fallen into the Yorick zone and will not come out til he gets a Real Update

He sure has a high playrate for being in the Yorick zone.

He's not very great with solo queue because he requires communication. Too many times he ults and the other person has already ran away from the fight.

Because he was lacking before, and is worse now

he's still not very interesting or satisfying and feels like an awkward in-between of a full tank and a juggernaut

you seem to confuse 'after' with 'befor' and 'is' with 'was' he's weaker than befor the rework, and he's way less fun.

He's definitely not less fun. His laning had no nuance at all before the rework.

he will get another rework because he has fallen into the yorick category to many people liked his old kit i cant stand the new shen (mind you ive been here since season 2 and its be awesome to see all the love everything has gotten) But some stuff shouldnt have been changed and making him a crappy tanky ori was not the way to go

Which one of you cowards downvoted my 100% true post without responding? Justify the statement that Shen is underplayed.

You can't, because it's not true.
