Feelings about ekko

Just wondering what the community thought about ekko. He is one of my favorite champions. I dont see him in a lot of games. Very rarely do I see him in mid or play against him. Just wondering what ppl thought.

i thought i was gonna really like him until his kit was announced, i was really hoping he would have more of a baseball theme like his W. he has the most overloaded kit in the game and is extremely frustrating to deal with all his passives and his safety.

He's in a relatively good spot, although statistically he isn't winning very much outside being played in the jungle. People who say that his kit is overloaded have probably never played him or got dominated by one. Ekko struggles in a lot of match-ups mid due to Lux being far safer than him and his early mana costs, and resourceless champions like Yasuo and Zed (Zed isn't technically resourceless but his resource doesn't inhibit his playstyle too much). Ekko is a tough champion to master, but worth it if you play your cards right. Most people playing Ekko now are really good with him and can play match ups very well.

the fact that he has success building tank signifies to me that something is overloaded, be it the tank items or his kit.

One of my favorite things about him that you hit on is that you can take him into bad match ups and survive. Its not a mechanical struggle either, in my experience. You just have to play your cards differently. I beat a lux down pretty hard yesterday. May have been a poor lux player, but I wouldnt have played it any differently if she had been better. I just wouldnt have gotten the early kills.

I think hes pretty strong, not too overbearing, but really good in the right hands. whenever I see him I cry, mostly in the top lane... cause you always know.. by late game he will do damage to your carries and he will be relatively tanky if hes builds frozen fist+abysall+DMP and he has a second life that does aoe damage. Hes in a good spot right now.. I'm trying to learn him cause of it, having trouble though.. the boy has a high skill cap.
