This Patch Note is Stellar

While I respect this, i think you should stop holding back - "Nunu, having found himself in a dumpster fire at the start of S8 needed some buffs. We're giving him a massive AP steroid so that we can also throw Lucian a bone. His Ult will now light up any lane he's in!

Seriously though, I like where you're going with Nunu, but his passive needs the Moakai/Alistair treatment. After X seconds or Y actions Visionary triggers. At any rate, Nunu's viability has shot up with this, and I'm really looking forward to using him in the bot lane again.

At least give it till the end of the month before we take any stop-gap measures too far.

We're gonna find out who the next rework is before Feb, if I remember correctly. Cross your fingers for a certain Yeti rider.

I think I missed something. What was too far?

I don't mean your idea is too far; it might be a great idea. Wasn't my intent to comment on that.

I just mean that spending a ton of resources working on nunu if he's the next reworked champ would not be ideal; I'm hopeful that he's getting that rework sometime soon. I figured my comment would bump your discussion and point out that he might be in line for some larger scope work, anyway :)

Oh yeah I wasn't mad, I just didn't understand what you meant. And I appreciate the bump ;)

His Passive right now runs counter to his overall kit. With the W buff he's being directed toward a mage - which is great - but now he's being asked to be on the front lines with not a whole lot for tanking, and even less for his AAs. If he got old Maokai's passive mechanic - i.e. based on X number of spells cast near him - he'd function better. IMO of course.

Yeah, I buy that argument.

Nunu has always appeared to me to be part of the "old guard" type champions that were created with very little insight into topics like kit synergy and thematic cohesion. Somebody went: "What if there was a champion that was a kid riding a Yeti? That looks pretty right for the tone of this game." And then they made it.

You're hitting on that concept in a much more specific way than I can, having never played Nunu outside of the occasional ARAM. I expect really big things from Nunu when a rework does eventually happen.
