why the fuck, was I, an UN-RANKED, NON-SMURFING PLAYER matched up against a PLAT 3 ZED?????

People shit on your matchmaking... and it's ALL TRUE

You we're on the bottom of the map most likely. Bottoms of map = less skilled players Top of map= more skilled players.

To balance the win ratio of blue/purple teams.

Matchmaking also averages the overall rank from all games played for each player gets the team average and picks within a range of that average. Enemy team could have 4 lvl 1s and a challenger. Vs your team of 1 bronze 2silver 1 gold 1 diamond

Its just math to reduce wait times. Stop whining and play better

the thing is, that 1 challenger is just going to carry the game with 0 fucks given. its going to look like a bot game with the guy running around with 30 kills under his hood, and the 4 lvl 1's just getting fed off the underleveled and underfarmed bronzies.

compensating 4 terrible players with 1 skilled player is a terrible experience for everyone involved. its either just going to end up frustrating for the more skilled player because all the pressure to carry the game is on him while he tries to work with a terrible team, or he gets his team to follow his instructions and theyre just going to roll over the enemy.

the worst part in this game though is, that ranked mmr still doesnt affect normals. the time between seasons when ranked ques are closed is an absolute mess.

I'm not saying its the best system. But i don't hear you complaining about long que times. Ultimately that's your alternative

I can recall a match, actually recently that both teams had 1 player that performed extremely poorly, around 30 minutes when the game finished both these players were still level 15 while the rest of us were 18. TBH I think it's really unfair on the inexperienced player, yes it's balanced mathematically but essentially it amounts to a 4v4 where those rookies are free kills and don't really have any fun all match and can't be depended on by their team mates.

It's going to cause a lot of sour interaction I Garen tee it.

Last season I got matched mid against a diamond kha zix player. I picked Morgana and wiped the floor with him. I didn't believe that he was diamond until after the game and I checked his account. FYI I'm a silver player with no motivation to climb
