How do you face Singed as Malphite?

I just had a pretty frustrating loss that was about 80-85% my fault. I kept dying to the Singed because he would run around under turret and I couldn't kill him, then he would ignite and kill me. I was constantly looking to teleport or roam, but Mid was losing in the 1v1, bot lane was not winning and there was either no opportunity that I could see or they were back at base a lot. Zac tried to help but neither of us could hurt Singed. Tbh I went into a sort of panic mode, I couldn't roam, I was losing my turret, and no one was really able to help me except bot lane but they were busy bot lane. I basically didn't know what to do and Singed took both my turrets very quickly. Mid tried to help eventually but still we couldn't do much.

Plain and simple, I was obviously out-played by the Singed both mechanically and mentally. I am just curious what do I do in this scenario? I am guess I should have just roamed more, but I don't know. What items should I be building? I rushed Bamis to help me farm but I think that was a mistake.

You shouldnt be able to kill each other really. What item did you get first?

dont build armor as malphite let alone pick malphite into singed

I didn't build Armor (except Zz) and they picked Singed into me :)

Yea I don't know why i didn't build Cowl at least.

vs ap as malph or any other melee top like that always rush the cowl

Normally I pick Yorick into Singed and there is nothing he can do, he can't fight me because I'll win, he can't dive me because my W will cause him to die, and he can't proxy me because Yorick clears waves just as easily.

yea play anything into singed that can wave clear... that's the idea , malph sucks at it.. lol really does that's is why its not a great match up... but if you pick malph cuz of the rest of the enemy team comp... for example kha jungle, yas mid, vayne bot then ya u lose lane but your more impactful to team in that regard.

but if you can play someone who wants to wave crashing at him and can effectively wave clear and become a problem split pushing then that is how you counter singed... for example NASUS

I don't mean to sound like I am blaming my teammates, because it was mostly my fault, but if any of my team was winning or gave me opportunities to roam I would have and we probably would have won. Like our Yas mid (the reason I picked Malph) was losing to the Gangplank just as bad as I was losing to Singed, so I couldn't go Mid ever because he was always dead. Bot lane was always almost dead or in base, I should have tried to force something down there now that I think about. It just seemed hopeless with no deep wards for me to TP to it would have just been me TPing bot lane, enemies backing off, Singed taking my turret for free, and me not having TP anymore.

Next time I won't pick Malphite if I don't know who I am against or maybe I will just leave lane and let Singed do whatever while we pubstomp his team... That's what I normally do if I am having a bad laning phase against champs like Singed or Nasus.

it happens... the things is you wanna know and learn and that makes you a better player even before your mmr/rank changes ... you aren't complaining that its unfair or broken etc ... you didn't blame any one .. you asked for help vs a match up...

you cant win all games... sometimes you can play perfect and lose.. it happens. give some credit to the enemy cuz they might just be a better player or played better that game...

just like in NFL.... the best team don't always win... any thing can happen on any given sunday

Well he was definitely better than I was, at least with Singed than I am with Malphite.

Its your build. You had item 3751 item 3052 against item 3151. After your item 3512 I would have gone with item 3001. It wouldn't have made you be able to kill him, but he would not be able to kill you under tower with it.

Just in general malph is a bad match up against singed but it shouldn't be a total loss with the right items.

Yea I am not sure why I built the way I did, like I said I normally don't even bother with my lane as Malphite as I roam the moment I hit 6. I am not sure why I didn't build Spectre's Cowl or Negatron early. I got outplayed pretty hard by a Singed of all things and I suppose it tilted me.

As malphite you shoud haave been able to clear the wave withou inteacting with singed. Trying to kill him was a mistake since you didn't have the burst or the DPS to kill him. Just max Ground Slam (E I believe) and rush item 3001 or get and early item 3211

Ok, I knew my build was bad I don't know why I was so lost as to what to build. I have never struggled against a Singed before, and I have done this match-up many times too.

I don't play either of them, singed420 always says that if Malphite builds ap he just wins though.

Oh really? Hmm I will need to look into it, although honestly I think I just shouldn't pick Malph into Singed.

I'd have gone with an E max and either armor if Singed was proxy farming or MR if he was looking to fight you. Banner of Command is also the ultimate Fuck You to Singed if he is pushing extraordinarily fast
