Define "mage" and "any position". What I'm seeing ain't it.
Mid Lane Top 20 has 11 mages; top 10 has 5. From those, only two are above 52% win rate: Lux and Ahri.
Support I won't bother counting those for obvious reasons. Anyway, most of them are not above 52% win rate.
Top Lane No mages in the top 20, unless you count Jayce (categorically an Artillery champion).
Jungle Elise is the only "mage" (categorically a Diver ) .

So us mage mains are suppose to take a guy who: Complained that Viktor top was OP, locked him in, and fed so hard that he triggered an auto 14 day ban seriously? Yea okay, maybe he should just stick to bruiser tips.
People are making the guy feel like the most correct League player out there, yet forget that he is the biggest outcrier for Conqueror, and one of the most biased whiners.
Imagine being Hashinshin, going full r%%%%% and saying that if a champion builds AP items, they´re a mage.
In top lane's top 20 champions in Diamond+, only 2 are mages, Karthus and Cassiopeia. Both with small enough pick rates to not justify Hashinshin's rather delusional statement.
In jungle's top 20 champions in Diamond+, we have again, only 2 mages. Taliyah and Karthus, bot again, with low enough pick rates to not justify his, again, very delusional statement.
In mid lane's top 20, we have 6 mages. It's the lane they´re most seen in, so it stands to reason it's the lane to feature more mages. Again, not enough to justify Hash's yet again, very delusional statement.
Bot lane's top 20 features 4 mages, all of them with small pick rates as well.
Support is were things get interesting, because there are 8 mages there, all with decent enough pick rates.
1 out of 5 still means Hashinshin is, unsurprisingly, very delusional, again.
Not all mage items are a problem. Just Lost Chapter and Oblivion Orb, really. Void Staff is fine, Deathcap is fine, Sorc Boots, especially now that stat shards are a thing, is fine as well.
He’s a bit biased since most of his comment revolve around how to make the type of champions he plays stronger.

He overreacts to changes. His 'facts' are anything that outplays him. He loses hard due to mistakes or he wins it with an outplay against a greedy opponent and keeps em down. And thats hash in a nutshell. Can't trust anything he says.

Did everyone forget how base MR was raised and that most if the damage resulting is due to rune changes?
I find hashinshin super entaintaining but you gotta take him with a grain of salt.

League has more problems then just Mages and they all needed toned
Riot about to nerf mages in 9.2 and flat mpen, turns out hashinshin was right, told you so boards, hope they dont forget to nerf ludens and void staff though.
