A response to the people who dont fully understand why Yasuo is a toxic design (and why he is hated)

Picture a hyper mobile assassin (Think leblanc in terms of mobility) With an ap amp that was similar to aniv's empowered e. Still with me? Okay now add on a passive of a free shield based on how mobile you are. Also a free zhonyas on a basic ability (The equivalent of ignoring a mage's skillshot imo) . Even ignore the ult, this is just basic abilities because honestly I don't give a shit about his ult, minus that b.s eq that will always hit, but w,e that is for another day.

Can you just IMAGINE how absolutely tilting it is to deal with that like honestly. Ask yourself, would this be okay to lane against? Yes I will grant you that yasuo's skill level as a champion is HIGH, but that doesn't forgive how stupidly imbalanced he is.

Banned at #3 in Korea. The "best of the best" don't even like to deal with his shit. Granted his w.r is far lower. But with a pick rate of number 1 , come on , the wr is to be expected. A pick rate like that over more than just a few patches >:( I really don't know why people hate admitting how problematic he is

And then you fight yasuo in the river and realize he's actually really shitty without lane fighting. I'm sorry, but I don't have much issues with Yasuo as long as the proper comp is drafted. He actually can barely 1v1 a Maokai at any point in the game. Champ design may be toxic, but Yasuo overall is just a champ who people int with but have fun because of his kit

Have you actually played something like Annie vs yasuo? Or Azir ? Among others Counters an entire class my ass

It's a skill matchup that favors yasuo most times, however most mages absolutely shit on Yasuo. Gl beating Azir, Cass, Leblanc, Malz, Annie, Kat in lane. You'll get absolutely dunked on. As long as you're a decent player, 9/10 times Yasuos will outplay themselves. That's a 100% guarantee. Wait for him to fuck himself over.

He is balanced around the fact that there is no good lane for him. Yasuo mid very situational, as he struggles to do the job of other ad assasins in midlane, plus he fucks your team comp over, unless everyone picks their champions around Yasuo, not to mention that certain champs outright destroy him, mostly other assasins.

He is decent top lane, but struggles vs tankier teams, and can hurt your team really bad if he falls behind, since he is not tanky, compared to most top laners.

He's not an assassin though. He is a Melee ADC.

The problem with Yasuo is he gets too much for free.

With only PD/IE, other champs get Attack speed, crit chance and AD.

With the same combo, Yasuo's kit provides AS, CDR (Q), 100% crit, AD and 50% ArmPen

That doesn't include his freelo shield equivalent to roughly 25% of his health that gets refreshed on ult for some reason.

Except that Yasuo needs available targets to dsh around, fighting him inside your minion wave isn't the best choice (as it isn't for many other characters, like Mordekaiser). Learn some positioning.

Too bad that it doesn't do anything if you use ray-like skills, dashes or just walk into it. As you see there is counterplay from any class, also its high CD doesn't make it a high presence on the field.

Now, Yasuo can be hellish strong if in good hands, I'd give you that but he is relying on severly outplaying the opponent (a thing he should be rewarded for).

Mid lane is relatively small and therefore doesn't give breathing room regardless. Top lane is different although the dash cd is quite low for a gap close. Note most gap closer cds are 16-20 seconds

I will give you a second to understand what mobility means. By the way item 3046 gives mov. speed and it is a core item. Imagine if a champion (AP) built ludens and lich for a free shield

All of these are more than valid picks against him, some of them can litterally walk over Yasuo and I've not listed the full list because I limited myself to midlaners and I'm sure I missed some.

The most ironic part of Yasuo? The reason Rito admitted why his kit is too toxic? Is Yasuo's ult.

Yasuo was designed by Rito to be a "lightweight frontline fighter. using windwall to 'tank' the enemy backline and dps + shield passive + ult to combat the enemy frontline." It's Yasuo's ult that turned him into an assassin and I quote,"Yasuo's ult gives him obscenely easy access to the enemy backline. A tool that we designed for Yasuo to be able to deal with frontliners is instead being played as a blink to CC and nuke squishies, turning him into an assassin that bastardizes our initial vision for Yasuo."

Yes his Windwall is bullshit, likewise for double crit and infinite dashes, but I digress. Rito continued saying,"However, we don't want to rework Yasuo's R, even though we know it's the underlying problem with his kit as a whole. We feel Yasuo's R is too iconic to his character and kit, thus we will instead keep him teetering on an ever-uncertain line between being OP and toxic to play against or moderately underwhelming, yet still toxic to play against."

Yasuo is only hated by the bronze and silvers and Golds. He is a laughing stock in Plat+. Go into OP.gg and look up his statistics. You will notice a great trend. From bronze to Plat he drops so many placements, but then comes back up in Diamond because of OTP.
