Because the Statikk and Rapid Firecannon DAMAGES don't stack. It gives increased range but does the damage from Shiv, not RFC. Fun fact, Lich Bane or Trinity Force DOES stack with Iceborn Gauntlet. You get the damage from Trinity or Lich Bane, but also the AOE slow from Iceborn. Since Lich Bane and Trinity are both strictly damage, it doesn't stack but if they ever got new effects in the future those would probably work.

In that case why not let Maw and Gage stack? One gives a "magic resist shield" and the other gives "health". Oh right cause bias.

Because they used to and it was impossible to kill anyone with both if you were a magic damage dealer

Only the effects stack between shiv and rfc. The same way the effects between lich bane tri force and ice born gauntlet stack

They used to not stack, not sure why they changed this. Oh, I know why, because Riot is sucking ADC's and Support's dicks right now.

The damage doesn't scale just the 'unique' effect. Buying those two just gives you the shiv effect with the longer AA range. Still stupid though getting crit by an AA+Shiv for close to 1k damage from like 1000 range.

Because that will do too much damage for something that has no counterplay other than not to be in range......oh wait a second, adc auto attacks have no counterplay too!
