Why does bot lane towers even have turret plates?

The majority of the games outcomes nowadays are, better adc wins unless you pick braindead auto win Ashe or Caitlyn.

Why do we need this ridiculously broken role to be able to snowball for free just because they can push under turrets and get free gold.

For season 10, I want to see turret plates removed in bot lane turrets. They have the easiest turrets to kill because it doesn’t have the defense mechanics that top and mid does.

No more turret plates in bot lane. Just a flat 5000 HP. No more giving free gold to the bot laners.

Gee, I don't know. Why would you need something to keep the turret alive longer if there's snowball?

Man, I have no idea why. Not like something to keep a turret alive would help with snowball or anything!

i don't know about anyone else but i've felt more motivated to poke the turret down since they placed those things than i was before

Yes bot lane does snowball, but it has very little do with the turret plates, it has more to do with a fundamentally broken jungle.
