How Is 90% Tenacity Fair?

There is literally no counter-play to this, you can CC, you can't do anything to slow her down.

For those that don't know, if Irelia has tenacity(boots), Mastery Tenacious, Elixir Of Iron and then her pasisve she has 90+% tenacity these mean EVERY form of CC (except knocks) get reduced to almost nothing, the longest CC in the game which is 3 seconds becomes 0.3 seconds, this is actually stupid cause it basicly makes Irelia impossible to stop unless you can literally kill her instantly.

Look at the tenacity, its 93%, 93%!!!

irelias role in the meta is having no counter. don't try to remove her role in the game ty

She does have counters, and they are quite good against her IMO. She's not as strong early game as other picks, and she can be stomped before she gets steam in her build.

sure she has counters for early game. but in all honesty, irelia goes into passive farm mode and waits till shes OP.

That is actually not true at all, any top lane champs that scale into late game are better like Tryndamere Ryze Jax Nasus . Also champs like Rumble and Riven scale just as well as irelia and have a bigger team fight presence.

the only one on that list that would really give irelia a hard time outside of being fully equipped is riven. late game scaling is bullshit because most games never have a late phase. irelia gets 1 item and its game over for most of them

Actually past level 11 irelia can't fight jax anymore, if trynd gets ahead on irelia at any point then the lane is over and she can't fight him anymore. I forgot akali as well who with one kill in lane will snowball out of control.

Obviously if you let irelia farm to her Tri Force and do nothing about it then she will have her strong mid game but her lategame is pretty meh compared to real scaling top laners.

akali top is a thing again? ppl were ragin at me for picking it. but ya akali can make her hurt. idk about jax havnt played vs jax since the rebalance. never had a problem with him before. trynd cant do shit unless you commit to a duel, and you never have to. if he dives you when you are low health with his e+ ult. stun, dash to a minion. watch him take turret agro. finish him after ult.

Good thing every champ since yasuo has some form of knockup in their kit lol. Persistent slows work too.

Oh she also used cleanse.... like seriously. Who runs cleanse on irelia anyway. I believe the actual value without cleanse is around 65%.

Going to point out this is Irelia with 3 enemy champions nearby, Mercury Tread's, Elixir of iron, Tenacious Mastery, AND who just used Cleanse.

Mercs: 35% Ionian Fervor: 10/25/40% Elixir of Iron / Path of Iron: 25% Tenacious: 15%

Tenacity is clearly a multiplicative stat, so

0.65 * 0.9/0.75/0.6 * 0.75 * 0.85 = 0.3729 or 0.3108 or 0.2486

Which translate to 37.29, 31.08, and 24.86 % Crowd Control duration, or 62.71, 68.92, and 75.14 % Crowd Control resistance.

The >90% Tenacity is from Cleanse, and therefore not particularly relevant (it lasts for 2 seconds on a 230? second cooldown).

I don't see a problem here.

i dont, really. ive just had great sucess with it. rushing sheen>trifoce takes sonas already amazing kiting potential and makes her laughably easy to "burst and run" with. follow that up with a sustained damage build like IE, shyv, ect. fun stuff.

I don't understand the problem. Irelia's passive offers very little in laning and combat, and she falls off to having an average late game. Don't blow your tenacity on Irelia and you're fine. Besides, tenacity IS the counter play to CC, and tenacity doesn't even effect knock ups and knock backs (Which are becoming extremely more common as new champions come out).
