What Exactly Is Bad About Mordekaiser and Urgot?

I've got an urge to buy and play them. They've got abysmal win and pick rates and people say they need buffs. What makes them bad?

Urgot is actually really good. However, he can't do much about getting ganked. And because he wins pretty much every trade off he ends up pushing a lot by default which makes him vulnerable to ganks. The other issue with him is that he's primarily single target damage. And usually the target you focus is one you landed your poison on. Quite often that's the front line tanks. On the upside, he melts tanks like crazy, but on the downside, focusing the tanks isn't that great in teamfights.

Mordekaiser is Riot's brain child that doesn't really seem to spawn from any brainwork. The adc position exists for a reason. They're steady ad damage that can attack from a range. Riot decided they wanted Morde to be able to sub into that position even though he has none of that. so they took away a lot of his solo lane power and jammed duo lane crap onto him even though his kit is better designed for solo lanes. He can't serve the utility role of an adc cause he's just straight up not an adc, and he can't serve the role of a support cause he's got no CC. Instead of the ap bruiser he once was, now he's some kind of freak with no solid place in summoner's rift.

As for Urgot, he actually isn't that bad. If you land your E on someone your Q becomes an autolock sniper bullet, which you can use to bully people out of lane pretty hard. However, his kit is very linear and falls off late game pretty hard, the only thing he's good for in team fights is his R and for picking off stragglers.

Urgot isn't bad, not by any means, he's just outshined really hard by other, more favorable picks.

Yes, Urgot isn't really a bad champ at all. Urgot's looks turn him off for some people as well. If he was some sexy chick that is showing off some leg or chest, he would receive much more play.

I personally don't mind it though
