Have to say, the R buff to Nasus feels REALLY good.

Was wanting to play Urgot this morning, but other team took him from me. So, I went with one my oldest favorite champs that just got buffed.

And God damn, did it feel amazing. Yeah, the Urgot kind of wrecked me in lane, but since when has Nasus ever been known for his laning phase (save for the random E max, lane pressure Nasus)?

Come level 9, you're already getting your Q down to under 2 seconds (assuming you've bought CDR.....which you should have), allowing you to rain Shuriman hell down upon any unfortunate soul you target.

But, don't worry. He's still Nasus. You can still kite him to Timbuktu and back. Just, don't ever plan on winning duels with him in the mid game ever again.

It's actually quite hard to kite a Nasus in a 1v1 unless you're playing a hyper mobile champ because wither is very strong. His problem has always been team fighting

well if you're a squishy champion with no mobility at all you can't but it's a short ranged slow, the only time he has chasing power is when he's already close enough most champions could already be killing you. if you have any form of cc or slows he can't touch you, so just sic your local support on him and he's useless.

I mean hence why I said he's bad in team fighting. You talking about the support CCing him just kinda confirms exactly what I said.

Wither is a medium range slow. A short ranged slow would be something like Darius. Once he gets enough CDR he can practically keep you permaslowed and it's quite a large slow and attack speed debuff to boot.

Once the mid/late game hits, he's actually very strong in a 1v1. He's actually one of the few champs that can beat a 3 item Fiora in a 1v1.

This is why Nasus has fallen into the category of a split pusher. Strong in a duel but weak in a teamfight. His 1v1 strength isnt an issue

im worried he turns on too soon for how much stronger he is later on in the game

maybe i don't need to be, we'll see

haHAA i got downvoted when I voiced fears of overbuffing.

In any case an easy fix is to further gate him by levels and push his niche towards late game by doing:

20% base cdr level 1 r 35% base cdr level 2 r 50% base cdr level 3 r

nasus' lategame isn't actually all that great. sure he's got great dueling and split pushing power, but his team fights are awful unless you let him stand there q spamming and he has no reliable range or aoe to do his "hypercarry" damage and no real defensive steroids to tank very long in fights that he's not allowed to q spam.

one time. enemy nasus has 1200 stacks. level 18. full items before everyone. he joined a team fight. got CCed and instakilled. he had like 4k hp. and 300 armor or so. and al ot of MR.

nasus late game sucks. he wants mid game power. his late game is garbage.

^This. Nasus has a weak early, a great mid, and a decent if things fall together late.

I don't know about anyone else, but let's just play out this scenario:

Nasus somehow gets fed, and let's say he has about 400 stacks, which isn't that hard if your good at Nasus.

If Nasus gets the maximum amount of CDR from his items, his Q will get a CD of 2.4

Because of his new buff, while ulting his Q cooldown is reduced by 50%

This means that while ulting, he can Q every 1.2 seconds, which lets just round to 1.

His ultimate lasts for 15 seconds.

Doing 15 x 400 (400 damage per Q per second), you get 6000.

Combine Nasus with anybody who can give you speed (Ex: Lulu), Nasus can go in, slow you with wither, catch up to you with the speed buff from another ally, reduce your armor by 35%, and constantly Q you.

Rip my Garen top lane

To be fair, the .2 secs matters a bit more than you might realize. Using R you can Q 15/1.2 = 12.5 times within the 15 secs of his ult. So 12 or 13 if you count just after his ult ends

At 12 you deal 4800 and at 13, 5200. Quite a difference from 6000. Still a nice chunk of damage though.

Or not, if we're doing actual math here. Significant figures.

It would be 15 x 400 / 1.2 = 5000

Rounding down boosted your calculated damage by 1000. You know what I call that? Bullshit math intended to pull the wool of people's eyes. Still a big number, but more honest.

I'm glad Nasus will see more play.

I've always liked him in matches.
