Calling it now, Shens shield is too good.
Played against Shen a few times here and there, and he got by with what he had fine it seemed. I actually played vs one pre rework the day before, then one today, and that shield was like a free trade winning pile of BS.
I played Sion both times, and was outplaying both of them. I probably would have still won had I not been camped by the enemy jungler, but in the hands of someone who really knew what they were doing I wouldnt have stood a chance. He gets fairly easy access to % max HP damage so he can do a lot of damage while he takes little from you.
Bring in all the "nothing is op you just suck" people, the simple truth is Riot has been over-tuning reworks recently as evidenced by the 55% win rate of some of their recent reworks.
Swain and Brand his 54% win rates and they nerfed that shit immediately, MF hit 55% and they "love tapped" her with a small nerf, Graves is at 55.1% and "he may need to be checked" dont make me laugh.
Those Graves skins must be making some nice cash as people jump on the flavor of the month OP champ.
So is Shens shield a bit too much? Yeah, and it will stay that way till the rush on RP purchases of Shen and his skins calm down.
So I predict a patch in the future that reads something like "Shen rework was well received but he may be out performing his top lane opposition a bit too much so were toning down his passive shielding to allow his opponent a chance to hurt him at all."
