They fixed the issues that have plagued Sona for so long, you no longer have to invest 1750 gold to get your first important item. 1750 gold means i can get my mana on track faster, i can get my CDR up and running before the 15 min mark, i can finally do something in lane phase. What i love most is that they didn't buff anything about her to make this work (the mana revert on Q helps but i don't think it makes or breaks her). She is still fragile and easy to focus down, most of her damage is auto attack ranged, her heal/shield didn't get better. She simply is no longer bound by the HEAVY cost requirement that Watcher use to put on her.

I'm still trying to see how i feel about the Kelpo changes, but at this point i'll give up the keystone to keep this feeling of joy.

I never built a Watcher during the entire course of Season 7. Glad you're finally learning.

I assume you built sightstone. So that’s still 800 hold you aren’t spending. So 800 gold faster in building the other items you needed. And not lossing an item slot for sightstone.

If the first assumption is wrong, then you either didn’t play support or played that “off meta” idea that vision is worthless and likely cost your team many objectives and kills.
