Shouldnt the community WANT Rek'Sais Ult to be dodgable?

There is another champion with a point and click high damage ultimate that you CANT escape... And its one of the most hated champs in the game.

LeeSin

I hate Lee as much as the next guy, but i feel like people arent exactly realizing how a point and click execute high damage ability that is undodgable is kind of unfun.

Now a lot of people just want a wider hit box for it. However i personally think the hitbox has just as many "How did i miss?" as "How did that hit?" As well as a hitbox LARGER than the champion itself can cause problems aka Blitzcrank 's infamous "HOW DID THAT HIT ME?" hook.

Now im not a brilliant gameplay person but im curious, do you think Lee Sin and Rek'Sais Ults are comparable, if so which method would be more fair to play against?

It shouldn't be indodgeable, but should be better than a bronze 4 warwick ult

i mean the only way to reliably dodge it is by flashing. Sure you CAN just walk out of it, but i highly HIGHLY doubt its as easy as people make it sound.

You can literally just walk towards her and it will avoid the ult

This.

I have had huge difficulty landing it. Tried so hard. If the enemy so much as slightly moves it will miss.

It's very easy to simply walk out of, especially if you have some sort of random MS buff like Phage or Homeguards.

Flashing out of it, I understand. But it shouldn't be so easy to dodge that you can just run sideways.

Tbh, even flash is crazy. First she has to land something, then she can ult.

This isn't exactly a great comparison.

The main complaint about Lee Sin's ultimate relates to the ability's CC. It snares the player (so they can't flash/dash to redirect the kick) and knocks the target back, setting them up for a guaranteed Q.

Garen or Cho'gath's ultimates may be a better comparison for targeted damage/executes.

Pretty much on top of not having been 'modernized' so its not up to the current riot standards of champion design but made during the 'times' when they allowed more 'scummy' type champions (Like Thresh and Yasuo ) to be conceived.

The fact he has no real 'requirement' on using it to justify its flexible power and its literally a 'proper' Tristana Ultimate on a TANKY built champion then a squishie ADC, it makes it unfair since he can literally use it as a 'EZ disengage' on top of a mass duel disruption or anti Gank measure.

[slayer-jinx-unamused]

As i've said so many times, the 'power standard' for ultimates these days(OR THEY SHOULD BE DESIGNED AS SUCH) for champions need to fall under a scale, they either get strong damage but requirements to execute them (Ex. Missing health, travel distance, how many stacks are 'present' on the target, etc.) properly usually with AND/OR mechanic to allow counter play at times or they get near non-existent damage but they serve as a powerful tool in the form of either strong CC, mass heal, 'diver' tool, Roaming 'mode' or TP tool, a special kind of 'buff', etc.

If the ultimate just like the entire kit of the champion is not properly balanced then it makes little sense on why the champion is allowed that much power, especially if its tools allow said champion to build in a troll like kit where they could taunt spam you while you chip half their health away and then they can easily oblierate you even when both of you have the same amount of CC and are the same level. This especially applies to if said ultimate allows some retarded level synergy with said champion (Such as how Azir's 'Shurima Shuffle' combo USED TO allowed him to pull some really scummy moves like locking others right under his own lane's turret while your pushing.

When you can right click to the left, right, front, or back to dodge it, that's a little crazy. Not to mention every champion has some sort of dodge. We don't get to aim it, but they do get to dodge it. All disadvantages of a skillshot but none of the advantages

my issue with this is that if it's supposed to be dodgeable then why is it targeted at all?

it puts the outplay potential in the hands of the opponent while offering none for rek'sai
