Xayah feels more like an AD caster mid than an ADC

with how her feathers are and damage shes designed to do with them she feels much more enjoyable as a midlaner than an ad to me, she's also pretty vulnerable to character that are very common botlane most notably. she doesn't really have that issue mid imo where she can easily get to farm because of clean cuts than those two either outranging and poking or getting in her face and just killing her a lot faster than she can kill them.

iunno, maybe I'm just bad at her or adc

I agree, but then again on release many thought Jhin mid would be the most popular role four him

It'd be like taking Jhin mid. Almost no survivability or mobility, AKA, every single mobile champion or CC/burst champion just laughs and shits on her.

She would get crushed mid, she doesn't have nearly the early burst, mobility or reliable hard CC that most midlaners do.

I played against a Xayah mid a while back. Her poke was crazy, it felt like she could AA me from all the other side of the lane (to be fair though, I was playing a melee champion). She forced me to recall twice, and I think she even got a kill on me Pre-6. Once I hit 6 though, I easily bursted her down and snowballed.

The main problem is, she doesn't have the mobility or the burst for a mid laner, but it's a fun role for norms and so you should try it!

I feel like Xayah has really steep mana costs, like REALLY steep mana costs, and that you are forced to build Essence Reaver on her or run out of mana forever. That, paired with her incredibly weak burst and severely low damage output, makes her kind of pointless, and I only see her do well when opponents are ignorant of her.
