CASE 1: Pick a random Bronze player, make 4 LCS pros play with him for a month, lets see how far he will climb.
CASE 2: Pick a random LCS pro player, and make him duo with feeder, that will do nothing but keep dying to enemy players.
Lets check how far Bronze/LCS player will climb with given conditions.
ModThe Djinn4 votesThis is an intentional feature of the system. If you have an LCS player who only plays with his worst friend, then there is a limit to how high he can rise, but he will rise higher than a Bronze III player paired with the same feeding teammate.
If you have 4 LCS players who have a Bronze friend and they only play together, that that team, as a whole, is able to play at that level. They will end up below the potential of the LCS players, and if the Bronze player starts playing alone he or she will rapidly fall in rank.
That's the system working as intended.

Well, that is not true. If someone has 20k gold when his other teammates are at 8k gold, then is he really no more than 20% of the team? Sure, champion count wise he is still 20%, but he has almost 40% of the teams' resources on him, aka more power.(far fetched example but you get the idea, and there is also level difference to account for)
Also, I remember back in season 3 there were videos of people doing the 3challengers vs 5silver/gold/plat challenges. I think athene or t2g was doing them but not sure.
Eedat2 votesLmao fuck no. A more accurate experiment has been done hundreds of times before. Take a high diamond+ player and drop them in bronze. Watch them absolutely roflstomp through low ELO first timing champions with troll builds. It's called bronze to diamond series of which there are hundreds on YouTube.

There are also many videos like "3 challangers vs 5 bronzies" and similar stuff.
