Can we finally look at matchmaking to make it more balanced ?

Matchmaking of this game is the reason I stopped playing ranked few months ago. Same in the season before and before that. I just don't have the nerves to play 2000 ranked games to get to elo I deserve. I went from plat 3 after placements to diamond 2 with roughly 150 games and 60% winrate. Then of course autofilled teammates happened and literally unwinnable games over by 10 mins, got me back to diamond 5. I researched a bit and this happens often and to a lot of people, and if you don't wanna play thousands of games you will stay in d5 hellhole. The reason is because when an autofilled d5 adc main goes top against d1 top main, it's no mystery who will feed and lose the game. That was the case in one of my unwinnable losing streak games. How is that even possible for a d5 autofill to go against a d1 main of that lane. Who will have fun in that game and how is that fair matchmaking ? Few times in d4, I actually played against masters and challengers. Now if you tell me "well your mmr is high so hurr durr". I don't care, if you play me against challengers, then you better give me a pretty big mmr boost and lp if I win, but nope I got the same lp as always, because team mmr was ""balanced"" by mixing 500 mmr difference players. That is NOT a fair ranked game any way you look at it.

Don't downvote me because I'm talking about diamond and you're jelly, same shit happens in all elos. I just want to play a game where after checking opgg, I know it wasn't lost in champ select.

we originally had perfect role selection, the issue is people in diamond always had 20+ minute queues waiting for the 1 person who picked support to rotate between your team and the next team, where you inevitably wait for for their game to end so you can once again, wait for the next available support player.

it was fair alright, but it ALWAYS resulted in tremendous queue times dictated by the least played role until inevitably the system would take someone far above/below for the sake of starting the match.

autofill keeps your queue time under 20minutes if one procs at all. i've been in gold for quite a while and i remember 9minute queue times for mid lane.

You were screwed if you played anything even remotely off-meta. Took me over an hour to get into a game as Mid Ezreal. Supports were so rare eventually people would accept the Olaf Support just so they got to play a game that day.

you're confusing team builder with role selection.

Their matchmaking is honestly just a game of luck, there will be days when you will be getting the good teammates and bad enemies, or bad teammates and good enemies, idk for diamond but i just lost promo to get in gold 5 because my supp and adc where the silver 5 and both of them died 5 times already at 10 mins typing "gg" at /all while the enemies was gold 3 or 4, so basically when you lose 2 games in a row that one day, just chill of off ranked, and jump in the next day and matchmaking will probably favor you then that day. Game of luck, trust me

50% win-loss ratio system. No other explanation for the lack of balanced games, and always (almost) one team stomping the other one. One time you're the stomper, the next you're the stomped. Great coding.
