I mean i'm fighting a bunch of 
in bot lane, and it takes like 3-4 Q's and/or auto attacks to take down a single turret. I step away from the game for a couple of months and they gut my favorite champ so she can't even clear freaking minions?!?!

Sona isn't supposed to provide waveclear so... no, she doesn't need her early game damage buffed.
I don't want to wave clear, i want to be able to clear turrets. I mean i remember those things being made out of paper towels, so why am i getting pushed in lane when my range is further then the turrets?
Sonas a support she should have a tough time clearing minions, as for the early game dmg no way her laning phase would be too oppressive. I think she does need an HP buff though shes a very squishy champion
Why ? you are playing Sona mid ?
She is a support, ofc she won't have a good waveclear. It's not her priority.
I would buff her HP because Yuumi does a little the same job but she is safer than Sona.
