Was lethality really a good idea?
With the new mechanic called lethality introduced in season 7, it's really interesting to see how it was going to work in game and what awesome new interactions it would bring to our favorite game. However, was the introduction of lethality really a good idea? I don't think so.
In case you don't know what lethality is, it's basically armour penetration that scales with level.
He's where the problems start; when lethality was first introduced, nobody really used it since it was only really effective until the late game and with league games having tendencies to being shorter, it just wasn't that good.
Of course, that is until lethality got a massive buff making the armour penetration much higher in earlier levels while still scaling very well into the late game. Right now, lethality is just kinda broken, to a point where it makes already viable and meta champions like Rengar and Kha'zix so much stronger.
With AD carries being so weak in season 7, and with a massive buff to AD bruisers/assasins I can guarentee you that life as an AD carry will only continue to suck even more while you get 1 shot by these new armour shredding monsters.
Personally, I think that the introduction of lethality was a mistake but if you think otherwise, say your thoughts in the comments below.
Thanks for reading my little rant and have a great day :3
