What I am supposed to do against Irelia?

Pick a early game champion like Darius, Renekton, push to her turret, so she can farm safely and scale way better than you? Pick a late game champion so she shits on you early? Wait for your jungler ( you will die waiting for him, trust me ) to gank her?

I usually pick Darius or Renekton and kill her.

Olaf also works, but he provides even less to their team than they do. However, he can easily duel Irelia even if she's even or slightly ahead, and I'm not sure the same is true of Darius or Renekton. So I guess it's something.

Like I said, darius or renekton will push her to her turret, and she will safely farm because of her Q reset. Olaf will be useless against the rest of her team, so basically, you cripple your team just to not lose lane hard to her

Well no, I push her to her turret and then I kill her. Then she comes back to lane and I kill her again. I can't remember an Irelia I didn't kill in lane.

You could also try Tryndamere, who can kill her early and ultimately outscales her. Trundle is in a fairly similar boat. If they're even, once he hits six he's stronger.

Oh, and Yorick craps on her in lane while being more useful in team fights.

Yorick doesn't craps on her. No, you push her to her turret and than you do nothing, you can't dive her because of her point and click stun

DropFill is just pouting because they lack the skill to fight Irelia. It's less about the champions and more about the person playing unsafely and losing his footing, so he's complaining about champions when he fails in-lane.

I like the response above. Personally speaking if I KNOW its an Irelia (draft/ranked) I rely on Panth -21/7/2 masteries: 2 points in mana utility (5% CD) -AD Marks, 2 AD Quints, 1 Quint of CD, Armor Seals, 6 Glyphs of MR, and 3 CD Glyphs (5% CD) -Take Exhaust, Flash -Start: Long Sword x 3 health pots

Laning: Only last hit minions, and Combo: Auto Q Auto her when she goes in to last hit a minion. DONT chase her if she runs. Hit level 4/5, and your skill order of LEVELING is Q, W, E, E, E. I usually wait till level 4/5 when Irelia is at 70% of hp from trades, then I all-in her when she gets close: Q, W, PROC EXHAUST, E, auto, she flashes, you flash, Q spear/auto, she's dead.

Why it works: because exhaust lowers her armor by 10, aka free brutalizer when you proc it. It hurts like a beech.

Any remaining mana, use it on your e to push the lane quickly to her tower, then b IMMEDIATELY after.

That is the EXACT process I use.

Irelia is a champion who thrives best in sustained one-on-one combat, and poses more a threat to escaping champions than aggressive ones. Champions with rough crowd control and brawler-type builds (Darius, Renekton, built damage initially and tanky later) usually have a better opportunity to stem her fighting skill early game, though they still run the risk of being stunned if they're winning. Champions who need to keep their distance and build up their power, like Ashe or Jinx, will feel a stern loss due to Irelia's gap closing and stun. Quinn might be a decent enough counter to Irelia, both in her Blinding Assault and Vault, for the sake of keeping her from landing auto-attacks and to escape if she gets too close (and secure a harder hit thanks to Harrier). Mostly, it's about finding a balance between damage and sustainability so that you don't wind up on the short end of Irelia's living-blade beatstick. Hope this helps in some way.

So basically, I need a champion with sustain, tankiness and that doesn't push the lane at all , while being able to trade with Irelia the whole game? There is none.

It's similar to playing against a Riven. Stick under tower and farm. Hope your jungler comes to help.

Nasus My time has come.

Nasus is probably one of the best counters to Irelia since Wither cripples her sustained damage, she doesn't have the early damage to shove you out of lane, and she doesn't really have an escape when ganked unless your minions are behind her. Eventually, you outscale Irelia hilariously well since you can just freefarm against her.

Irelia can't really poke you under tower either, so you can easily freeze the lane against her.

Panth. Pantheon his sustain is his health pots, tankyness is his continuous shield procs and his W (counters Irelia hard), doesn't push lane if you're not stupid to use your E on a minion wave when the enemy laner is there. He can also trade with Irelia even into late game if mid game you a) build an omen/offtank b) press your lead on her.

We are all ignorant at one point, myself included. But trust me when I say path works. <3

Quinn IS NOT A GOOD PICK. Every time you try and escape with Vault, Irelia can stun you right after you jump off of her. Don't evern pick Quinn against Irelia. Irelia can stun you mid vault. Irelia can escape with Q to nearby minions to dodge your Q. If you harass her you probably be stunned for days. She's the hardest counter.

I'd rather pick Vayne. Can tumble out of range to kite, has the movement speed boost to chase her down when she runs. Can knock her dash back with Condemn. Has percentage damage on W against typical Irelia build with high health items.

That is actually a better idea, I'll have to admit. High damage, mobility, and knockback, as well as the slight disorienting with the brief invisibility from Tumble+Ult. Both champions have their risks, but I gotta say Vayne is a better pick, seeing it laid out like that.

I main olaf top. 2 things happen when i face irelia.

if i go ham at level 2 and kill her she is a shit irelia and i win the lane.

if i lose at level 2 then she is a good irelia and i just go farm simulator until level 8 and ill kill/win lane then.

Omen and botrk wreck her.

Try Learning Rumble. It's hard for him to get shut down because he's not that Item Reliant. Use your E and ult and melt her face. And if she tries to all in you, you still can use a Zonya's.
