Considering trying ranked again..

i have played mostly ranked every season since i reached lvl 30 and every time i have placed in silver or placed into bronze and have climbed to silver. this season i was placed into bronze and i climbed to silver and stopped immediately after won my promos i accidentally did 1 more ranked game

so i am currently silver 5 with 0 LP with 9 games left on my demotion protection.

now the main reason i am considering playing ranked.. so i dont want to end this season with it showing me having a less than 50% win rate on my main ( ). and im considering getting the solo emblem just to prove it but from what i hear.. ranked REALLY bad now.

i am actually at a skill lvl between silver 2 and gold 4. and had originally planned to finally climb to gold this season. but after the "dynamic que" issue i decided to just keep my silver banner. because i didn't know about the 10 game protection.

so my question is.

is it worth trying to play ranked? not to reach gold because i know i wont get there in time this season.. but it make it so next season i wont get demoted as far during placement.

generally the "5" of any elo is the worst and with all the smurfs and boosted players is it likely i will get remotely even match

but do u think it is at least worth trying the 9 remaining "protected" games? or is it really just so bad that i shouldn't bother?
