Range should be inversely proportional to damage done

If I'm going to hit you from half a screen away, that attack should do 25% of the damage that an attack from counterplay range would do.

RIOT doesn't want counterplay. They just want flashy insta-kill combos. They think that's what makes a good esport. Of course they are terribly wrong, but they'd never listen.

Except a shot from far away is more difficult to land than one up close, so it should deal more damage to reward that difficulty.
