Jhin is a WONDERFUL example of what Riot SHOULD be doing...

Jhin is a great champion, he is not something I would play as I prefer AP mages but he is well designed. His kit may be just a little overloaded, based on critical damage but that can be changed with some minor number changes. I am talking about the fact that he has NO real natural mobility, yes, he can be powerful and high range but he actually has a high skill component that doesn't involve rolling around the map and spamming auto-attacks, eh Vayne?

This is EXACTLY what Riot should be doing in their future champion designs. Poppy was another BRILLIANT example. Yes, she is strong but not overwhealmingly so, she has some great tools, including the first ANTI-MOBILITY field in the game which is a fantastic thing to see. There needs to be more Anti-Assassins in the game, more options for people to negate assassin and bruiser mobility.

Infact, I would go as far as to say that I would like "Anti-Assassins" as a class of their own along with mages, juggernaughts and brusiers. I think its great that Riot are coming up with ways to address the mobility creep, FINALLY.

I really hope that Taric's rework goes that same way and he becomes an assassins worst nightmare as well.

A bit off topic, but I just wanted to point out that Poppy is, in fact, the third champion to get an anti-mobility behind Azir ultimate and Veigar cage.

he gets quite a significant movement speed boost from critical strikes increased by as. since hes an adc carry and scales strong with the stats, hes gonna build a lot of that anyways.

lategame he can keep his movement speed boost up almost nonstop. on a ranged champ this has a lot of impact. just look at how jinx snowballs through a fight. once she gets a random assist and triggers her passive, its really hard to catch her.

so i wouldnt say he doesnt have a mobility component.

That isn't until lategame though, its nowhere near as oppressive as some other mobility in the game.
