I hate playing against Riven because of a simple reason

While I have to play extremely well to beat a decent riven, she can play like a fucking tard and still snowball.

Pick any top lane bruiser if you suspect Riven will get played. You just have to survive her CC, nothing else.

Or work on that matchup with your preferred top champion. There are clear advantages to counterpicking yourself if you've put the time in to practice that particular lane phase.
