So Lee is fine because in low elo he has 44% win rate and can't stomp noobs

Riot new philosophy:

is your champ hard to play? yes----->can be buffed and remain viable no------->can't be buffed, will remain viable in bronze/silver and diamond/master players go fuck yourself and be bronze if you want this champ to be viable

Even though you are right on this, a lot of people would be upset to see jax buffs, yi budds, mundo buffs and garen buffs

Remember early S6 where mundo finally saw play in LCS again? Remember Darius after the juggernaut update? They were nightmares to play against, and they are basically champions that get countered too easily, but lower elos doesn't do that great of a job doing that

that's what op basically said, and that diamond players should smurf into silver to play their main

lee being fine isn't about low elo, its about the fact that he is only as strong as the others that can fill his slot but creates a healthier game meta than some of the others.

sufficiently healthy != healthier, so don't misquote please

You simplified a rather complex point of view they were trying to make. Basically, if a Kit is so binary that it becomes a stat checking option, then buffing them to be competitively viable, when they are already viable enough in soloQ, could actually turn the game into a more balance related mess than it currently is. You can't buff Yi to be competitive because of how toxic his kit already is. He can take advantage of the disarray that comes in SoloQ but would definitely struggle more in an organized environment. Making him excel competitively would in turn make his unorganized play completely out of control:
