League isn’t fun.

I keep on telling myself it is fun, but it really isn’t.

Speaking from a top laners perspective, the game absolutely sucks. You’ve made this game incredibly snowbally so counter match-ups are totally out of line. This is especially true for melee vs melee interactions. There’s no safe pick. Someone counterpicks you and then they’ll proceed to stomp you into the ground. Your knowledge on match-ups and experience means nothing now. If you’re unlucky enough to pick your laner first, chances are that you’ll be losing lane hardcore.

Counter match-ups are not bad either. It’s unavoidable to have them. However, they should not be this one-sided: it’s totally insane. Everything feels so bad now, and it’s because damage is out of control and keystones make it even worse. You have failed to balance these damn things after 3 years, so why not just nuke them and start over. The lane also gets easily destroyed by jungle presence. And what’s worse is that even if you manage survive a counter match-up or a jungle tent, you’re not going to matter anyway because top has little influence unless they snowball out of control.

So as much as I try to tell myself coming out of lane phase 0/5 or being down 100+ CS (if not both) is enjoyable, I’m really only fooling myself. This isn’t fun. I only play because at this point it’s the only game my friend and I both play. If I could go back to previous games I would, but the communities are dead. So I pretty much try to convince myself that this game is still good, but I’m really just fooling myself. This game sucks.

Do you hear me, Riot? Sorry, I forgot that you actually don’t care. But I’ll say it for my sake.
