A lot of older immobile champs have no place in this new mobile meta

New and mobile champs are simple to fast for older champs such as rumble. I was playing against Kat last game, and as she blinked around me, my Q couldn't keep up. Rumble turned and turned, but the Q would not hit her as she danced around me in melee range. The reason this is upsetting is if I were an AD champ, he would be able to land his auto attacks, but Rumble Q can't keep up. And Its not like the damage from his Q will outpace the Attacks from a champ like Yi.

What's worst is that its dot, so its not doing much if I can't land it consistently. I also hate when my Q is on and I'm chasing a target through minions, and the direction of the Q is changed as I wiggle through minions. I dont know if this is intended counterplay, but it feels silly to me.

It's also his ult. I know it has a lot of potentials, but frankly, most times it barely does anything other than zoning. The damage is awful scaling at 35% ap per second while he has no hard CC. It would take 3-4 seconds to get the same amount of damage as a lux or Ex ult. It is also extremely situational, relying on cramped spaces or external CC to be effective.

If his ult was a circle instead of a rectangle, that would make it so much easy to cast instead of having to get the right direction with your mouse. it should also have an initial impact scaling, then do dot like Shyvanna E

I feel like if rumble was redesigned today, the mechanics of the Q would be better and more consistent, he would have some form of ghosted so minions don't cockk block him, and he would have a better cohesion with his ult.

I don't know how rumble mains feel about his current state, but IMO, he could use the same level of tuning up that Morgana did.

so you are comparing two old as heck champions as to why "immobile champions are bad" thread? you do know that Kat has been the way she is for a long time and same with rumble? nothing has changed about that matchup at all... not like it was even one to begin with. Love how you are also comparing ultimates from burst mages to someone like Rumble that is not a burst mage... I don't know about rumble mains but I can def say that you are playing him wrong if you are comparing ult damage from two completely different type of champions like they are even remotely close.

If this is what ppl thinks about Rumble, as Rumble main, I'm happy. Ppl won't bitch and ban him at least.

Ok. Kata matchup is easier one. Sorc + orb, easy as that. Ignite is possible, I prefer barrier. Keep an eye on her daggers and you will have easy time. You have kill pressure from lvl3 on, you can keep up with her roaming, your 1v1 potential depends on if you can line up ult with her daggers or if your W is up to get away from her R. Once she gets Gunblade you should have Morello, but her 1v1 potential will be probably better than yours, unless you got few kills.

To Q, it refreshes every 0,25 secs, you can use it to push waves by standing in middle and rottating like R word. It can be also used to deliver dmg to enemies standing in front and behind you at the same time. Using E will turn you in direction you are shooting it, so if enemies are about to run away through wave with small amount of hp, shoot E and stop, you will most likely get 1 or 2 ticks of your Q.

You have to know when to use your R, that's one of the reasons I play him mid. So many immobile mages. When you are playing vs assassins, you have to think about every thing they have. Kata's resets, Zed R and W, Ahri is one of the hardest etc etc. It has base 700 dmg, you shouldn't have problem get at least 350 out of it, take it in 1v2, and we are cookin.

I personaly love Rumble, his numbers are still climbing, he doesn't really have any bad matchups, only few cases in which you might want to prefer roaming. I would say he is relatively strong right now.

If you have any questions about matchups, builds or runes. I'll be happy to help out.
