Damage creep? Don't forget about CC creep.... (tanks are not useless)

As the title implies everyone is out here whining about how there is too much damage presently in the game. However I hardly think that's the only main problem, there is more CC than ever before, and what makes matters worse is that a large portion of that CC is either a knockup or knockback, which cannot be countered through any means (because tenacity does not affect either, neither does QSS/Mercurial's).

Sure, dying in under a second is not fun, but neither is being CC'd for over 5 seconds. Seriously, you get stunned->knocked up->stunned->slowed->knocked back->stunned->polymorph'd and it's just like....why even play the game anyways? I'm sure even tank players agree with me. They should especially understand how it feels to be unable to move for most of the teamfight.

The tank update did not help with this.....Sejuani has 3 CC abilities, Maokai has 4, Zac has 3, Cho'gath now has 3 (including his silence) and following Galio's rework he now has 4 CC ABILITIES. Yeah, I think you can see what I'm getting at, giving tanks CC on CC on CC is not a recommended approach to updating them.

Furthermore, tanks are not useless for this very reason, as well as the fact that Aftershock and Grasp are hideously obnoxious and tank items honest to god make tanks feel like they're borderline unkillable unless you focus them as a full team. Moreover, the boards has the nerve to say "I'd prefer to have a tank meta than this". Haha....no you wouldn't. Tank meta means people just don't die in general, that isn't anymore exciting than what we have now.

Plus, on the note of tanks there's a reason why they have low winrates, people don't one trick them/play them enough now. They'd much rather play picks such as Brand support, Graves jungle and Gangplank top. It's not a matter of tanks being weak, it's a matter of tanks being so boring to play for consecutive matches that most players simply opt out of picking them consistently. Tanks are still really really good, so no they do not need buffs. What tanks do need is another class update.....which makes them less about CC and more about actually feeling fun and interesting to play as. Don't worry tank players I know your pain ^_^

So as you die to a Talon because you were out of position with no wards consider this....if it had been a tank meta you would have been run down by a Maokai or Cho'gath who then proceed to not only chain CC you, but also deal a relevant amount of damage to the point where they can kill you in under 10 seconds; making it a painful death.....and you cannot kill them due to them building pure tank items. That's not to say that I don't think this meta isn't horrendous, I just think that the boards should watch their mouths otherwise we'll get a re-enactment of release Cinderhulk.

Also, we should not be buffing anymore except for champions who actually need the buffs for whatever reasons, we should be nerfing the main offenders and balancing runes accordingly. So essentially, remove Duskblade, make Stormrazor ranged only, make Lethality items melee only, remove Zoe from the game, nerf Talon, give Kat some QoL changes (not just buffs; a give and tank approach), nerf Electrocute, nerf Aftershock+Grasp+Bone plating and replace Lethal Tempo with another keystone that ADCs can use that isn't retardedly broken. Additionally rework tanks again to make them enticing to play, without them being batshit insane broken tier.

CC creep goes un-noticed somehow in many games.

At least you can reduce cc with Tenacity and Cleanse cc with a QSS.

I don't know if you've noticed, but you can't reduce getting one shot and you can't Cleanse death.

Before anyone answers to this with "muh, Armor and MR exist", remember that most squishy champs can't afford defensive items and those that do (Zhonya) fall off hard when they take that route. And also defensive items on squishies aren't even that helpful unless the opponent is behind, and at that point you don't want those items.

most forms of cc arent the issue. the problem is, that riot overloaded the game with knockups and displacements.

most notable for me the recent Swain rework that added another displacement to a champion who previously didnt have one.
