@Riot nidalee base AD change, tread carefully

nidalee base ad increased from 53 to 61

yeah that WILL probably fix the issue she has with her first clear on the new runes. (which for those without pbe was nearly impossible while being less 16 ap and 3 armor) and it may even let her top lane again. (which would be utterly fantastic)

but if i were to make one small suggestion.

instead of buffing her AD so much.. how about you give her her old attack speed back she had before the 4.16 change

and maybe not buff her AD quite so much.

i LOVE the fact that is is likely going to make her be able to lane again. but... it will also make her an AD hybrid again which isn't bad.. but... has caused some (serious) issues in the past.. (for those who remember top lane nidalee between 4.11 and 4.16)

just BE CAREFUL.

i do LOVE nidalee buffs, and i am nearly positive this WILL fix her jungle issue i had. BUT this also has the potential to cause other issues.

so PLEASE keep an eye out for those.

were there other nidalee buffs?

not on this patch cycle.. she obviously had base armor increase becuase of the removal of armor runes

and her hp per level was increased from 80 to 85 (it was nerfed from 90 to 80 in late season 4 i think? i'd have to check)

but mostly it was a nerf to her early clear.. becuase with the new runes she only has 10 starting ap instead of 26... and only has 28 armor instead of 31

but realistically celerity gives her an average between 13 and 18 ap for her clear depending on if the monster is hunted or not ans if she has the 30% movespeed bonus for that

I want AD nidalee back. The problem wasn't that she was hybrid she was just able to bully as ranged top laners do. Another thing they could do if they really think its a problem is make her cougar Q do physical damage again but make it adaptive so its only physical if she is building AD. the rest of the magic damage in her kit really shouldn't be a problem at that point.

You have to keep in mind that they are giving champions things they actually need to function and in Nidalee's case her laning is garbage and she's pretty much pigeon holed into jungling but you can't jungle her reliably or even at all in some cases unless you are fully stocked and setup on Runes and masteries. You have a few areas where you can switch in and out on Runes but wiggle room is still tight. Nidalee's skill floor is massively high and it's due almost entirely because of all the nerfs she's received causing people to have to rely heavily on runes to fill in holes put there by riot to keep her passified.

The changes to masteries and base stats are going to have drastic effects on every champion but knowing how Nidalee's kit works the benefits of new runes are never going to be as good on her as they are on other champions. Nidalee's Kit is almost exclusively Raw damage and save for distance scaling/hp scaling on Q she doesn't have amazing scale-ability or interesting effects and utilities that carry weight.

I actually think she'll be worse off after runes changes regardless of base stats purely due to her kit and how much better other champions will benefit from the new Runes.
