A discussion of blitzcrank, pull width, and ultimate passive
First off i would like to say that i both playing AS
as one of my 3 supports, and i frequently play AGAINST him.
my three supports are
and
(which i learned SPECIFICALLY to choose vs blitz)
so believe me.. i know BOTH sides of the story
the first issue i want to address with blitz is the WIDTH of his pull this is WAY to wide
not only is it near impossible to dodge if you ARE out in the open and you cant dodge backwards beyond its max range. but it also is INCREDIBLY annoying to try to USE when trying pulling around minions when playing AS blitzcrank.
both when i FACE blitz and when i PLAY blitz i wish his pull wasn't so wide. this is the biggest issue i have with him at the moment
i think a good width would be similar to
snare
snare or
PRE-rework spear
a 2nd issue was just introduced when his ultimate cooldown was changed.
and while i LOVE the idea of his passive effect of his ultimate not happening when his ulti is on cooldown LORE wise. (because it means one he reaches fully changes static he needs to keep sending off little shock waves to prevent overloading, and that when he USES this ultimate he no longer send out little shock waves until he built up enough static again)
it makes PERFECT sense thematically. i feel that when his ulti cooldown was increased. it really made the PASSIVE effect so much worse. because it will now almost never be up until lvl 16.
i DON'T have an issue with the cooldown of the ultimate ITSELF having being longer. i just dont like that becuase of its increased cooldown it means his passive is almost NEVER up.
i really don't know how this can be fixed without either reverting the change to his cooldown (which i dont think is warranted, or even a good idea) or by making it the passive permanently up or kick in before the ulti comes off cooldown (which would really ruin the lore of the skill for me)
so i really don't HAVE a solution for THIS issue. not one that i really like anyways. but i still think its something that needs to be considered
