Would there be anyway to differentiate a disconnect from a player actually leaving a game?

Reason I ask this is because this just happened to me. I had no intentions of leaving the game (even though it was going badly), but my phone (which I use as a mobile hotspot) decided it was getting too warm, and shut down to prevent overheating (yeah, my phone does this. Dont ask me why).

Do I feel bad I left? Yes. Did I get reported? I can't tell, but I'm sure I did (I couldn't get back in time before they more than likely surrendered). Unfortunately, my teammates didn't know that my wifi all of a sudden shut off, and all they are left with is "Paleo Electro has left the game". They think I probably rage quit, saying "Screw this! I'm done with this game!", and just decided to leave, giving them no warning at all.

All I'm asking for is something subtle, but noticeable. I understand that it could probably be abused in some certain scenarios, but I feel it would help other players understand that sometimes, a player leaves a game without wanting to. For example: if a player actually leaves for whatever reason, you get the message "(insert player name here) has left the game." But if your teammate has a disconnect, you get a message saying "(insert player name here) has disconnected." It may take time for people to actually realize the difference, but it could help sort out unnecessary reports in due time.

Now, mind you, I'm not asking for any amnesty for leaving a game. If you keep on disconnecting from games, you should probably stop playing for awhile, and get the problem fixed before you enter another game. And, if its bad enough to where even the Leaver Buster system flags you, well, thats your own damn fault. But what I'm asking for is just a little something to let your teammates know that you leaving the game was probably not your fault, and you might just be able to make it back before things really go south.

No one cares why people leave. It could be connection issues, ISP going down, rage quit, family telling them to get off, etc. The fact is no one wants to lose a once winnable game because they lost their extra power. I was in a game once where someone learned their best friend just died and that they had to disconnect. Another guy on our team told him that if he didn't play he was going to report him and get his account banned.

I completely understand. Either that guy takes the game WAY too seriously (I mean, even the LCS doesn't take it that seriously), or had severe trust issues. Thankfully, though, I believe those kind of people are of a minority. Like I said, it would take time for people to actually realize there is a difference, but it could help.
