Any Jungler Mains Out There?

I mainly support. And I guess I feel top is my 2nd best role, but even though i have all but maybe 10 champs my pool is limited to who i actually use. When I jungle its usually Volibear and sometimes Malphite. I've tried Vi in the past but it just didnt work for me.

One of the problems Ifind myself in when trying to jungle is my build. There just doesnt seem to be enough gold in the jungle to build quickly. And you cant really poach from the lanes without getting raged at. ven if they are not even in their lane.

The other problem is trying to getting behind because im busy running all around the map trying to help people. For instance I go go gank bot, and then while heading to red buff i have top pinging for help so i skip the buff and try to make it to top.....I either get there in time or too late or the enemy went base. So now im near blue buff or wolves and i got mid pinging for help....so before you know i have a good 5 or 6 minutes that went by that I didnt get any farm at all and im still the same level. I guess this can happen to all junglers but it seems to happen to me a lot.

Any suggestions on other junglers to try and how i can get around the map faster?

Volibear is by far my highest mastery so I'll try to give some pointers on him as best I can or what I normally do. After my first clear I'm generally still healthy enough to gank a lane. I look mid and top as I almost always start bot. Ask your laners to say when the enemy has burned summoner spells, it's helpful. If they have an immobile mid and the lane is even, gank from their "tower lane" right behind the mid river bush. Go in and try to burn their flash (if it's up). You don't have to tower dive if they flash under tower. BUT, if you burn their flash make sure to gank within the next five minutes. Look for immobile champions as they are the easiest to gank. If anyone is getting to say 0/2 in lane try to camp for them so they can get relevant again.

With the general tankyness of Volibear be sure to ping and let your laners know when you will tower dive. If you're going to commit to the gank be sure to get either A. Their summoner spells B. Kills C. Assists (in no particular order, but try to get your adc fed when possible). You probably already know this, but I'll put it in anyway. When Volibearing be sure to E right after you Q them, even if they flash you should get a kill/assist.

In general help where you can, be looking for ganks at all times and if you have them drop a ward for the lane you ganked or want to protect from ganks. I've seen a lot of people rush in and not have vision only to have the entire enemy team show up. Don't be afraid to farm up or to counter jg your enemy. Enemy jungler top while you're near bot? Gank bot or counter jg their stuff, it slows their gold income and experience.

You need to have a balance between. If you went to gank bottom and you got a double kill, you help yourself to your blue buff. You can't be ganking lanes 24/7, that's just impossible. I main Yi and Lee and really it depends on which champion you're playing. If you're playing a champion like Lee you gank lanes a little more than you farm. But when you play someone like Yi you farm for your devourer. Of course you have to do both no matter which champion you're playing, you just need to make a balance between them.

if you wanna gank 24/7, play Rammus. Do that shit constantly, and make every enemy lane feel camped simultaneously.

If you seem to not have enough gold try a sated jungler. You can practice farming up in jungle, gank when you feel like it, your team mates (usually) understand that you will be "afk" farming.

When I jungle I call the shots on whether or not I decide to gank lol. Go through your clears and on the way if you see a chance go for it. Try out Rammus and Nautilus, I use those two champs and it makes jungling awesome. Pretty much no escapes because of powerball and dredge line. And when I'm not in lane I ask the jungler to cover to make sure I don't lose to much ground in lane, I find it odd why people would be mad over that.

Zac Vi Rengar Khazix Trundle Sejuani I tend to avoid sated junglers because they tend to not provide enough map pressure early unless they're named xin... lol

east tips for new or inexperienced junglers: are you playing a champ with sustain? if yes then clear most if not all the jung including scuttles, if no then do 3 camps and go b. next, are you playing a farm jung or are you playing a ganking jungler? farm junglers rarely stop farming unless absolutely necessary, ganking junglers typically will run from lane to lane picking up a camp or 2 in between, as for taking cs in lane, its fine to do in 1 of 2 ways, first freeze lane properly and only last hit, OR push wave to enemy tower to deny cs and reset the wave, as for raging get used to it, ppl rage at jung non stop unless you are single handedly winning the game for them, mute button OP also watching high end streamers (Trick2g is my personal favourite) can help you learn how and when to gank and how you should be clearing jung/ warding properly or denying wards, keeping internal timers of all buffs, summoners and whatnot is always useful, for instance, both jung started bot side, your first buff just responded and enemy jung shows top or at rift herald, go steal there bot side buff, i generally control all 4 buffs by 20 min if i can, thats just one of my goals by 20 min but setting goals with different champs can help alot, being sated devourer by 15 min is generally pretty good, for me its having warrior and triforce as well as full boots on udyr by 22 min
