You are very squishy and are not supposed to be in melee range. That's mages' weakness, once you get to them, you have them. Trynd also seemed fed as he was 2 levels ahead of you, probably crit with his shiv as well of aa
It is normal and a level 16 yasuo, irelia or some other melee champion could do the same
